Do you think you should be 1 shot with 3/4 diamond on Yes? No?

Me and a friend done the statistics. 1/4th diamond will have a 1/5 chance of being 1 shot. 1/2 diamond has a 1/10th chance of being 1 shot. So I think it's safe to assume that 3/4ths diamond is a 1/15 chance of getting one shot. That is, if you have a Barret .50 caliber

 

Well it depends on what armor you have on. Having 1/4 diamond and that being a helmet won't do as good as only having a chestplate. It all depends on the total armor you have on.

 

i completely agree with woundwart, it's ****ing bull**** how someone will turn a corner, barrel stuff you with a barret and you get 1 hitted while wearing 3/4ths diamond.

 

D helm and pants should be enough to survive a headshot I think.

 

Well chest and leggings for fact takes 10 tries to actually be a 1 shot for 1/2 diamond. So assuming you've gotten the chest and leggings and a 3rd piece, it's not likely for you to be 1 shot.

 

getting 1 shot in 3/4th diamond is impossible...

Barret either does bodyshot damage, or full damage.

It does 6.5 hearts to a full iron if you hit them in the chest.

Iron armor gives 2.5 times the hp of NO armor.

I can proove this using an equation I came up with.

TOTAL_HP = (100/(100- HALF_SHIRTS*4)) *10

Iron armor gives 7.5 shirts, or 15 half-shirts. 15*4 = 60. 100-60 = 40. 100/40 = 2.5. 10*2.5 = 25 hearts, where 10 is normal hp.

2.5 * 6.5 = about 16.5 hearts.

headshot is x2, so that would be 33.

if you have diamond helmet and boots, you will still get oneshot( 8.5 Shirts)

17*4 = 68. 100-68 = 32. 100/32 = 3.125, 10*3.125 = 31.25(31.5)

31.5 < 33.

See how it kills you?

now lets say you have 3/4-ths diamond (9 shirts)

18*4 = 72. 100-72 = 28. 100/28 = 30 + (10*4/7) equals about 35.5.

35.5 > 33

Not quite dead.

This equation can be used to calculate any weapon that could 1 hit you.

 

You can get onehit by barret at 3/4 diamond without chest...Happened before. As for the headshots, they occur when you hit the face of an enemy.

 

Guys, it's not about what pieces of diamond you have on. It's about how much of the armor bar is filled up like @olliesyd said. I don't know if you guys have noticed but diamond pants have the same amount of protection as diamond boots on the armor bar, every piece of diamond does only .5 better then iron pieces. The only one that fills a whole armor bar is the chestplate. Having said that it's a small chance to be one shot with diamond on, so don't be so upset about it because the guy you're shooting at has the same chance to get one shotted, so just shoot first

I can tell your raging... :3 You got 1 shotted by a barret and now u iz mad.

But no. The Barret is a 50 CALLIBER. That ****'s steep! That could puncture steel/diamond like it was a pillow! And aside from facts, even in DayZ it's even faster of a kill so don't act like it's overpowered.

thing is, this is a game. it doesnt neccessarily have to be realistic. loseing so much gear in such a cheap and fast way takes away from the game and just makes it less enjoyable.

 

Realistically, a 50 caliber will rip your body in half on impact. The heavy mounted machine guns are automatic 50 calibers.
