Is Martydon a grenade glitch?

This has been around for a while, just don't kill yourself in a crowd of people. Martydon is a class that drops a grenade every time you die.

 

Just don't use martyrdom on infect, it's that simple.

 

I think so.
It is the same like grenade glitching (you know that your going to drop a grenade if you die and you know that your going to kill all the blues around are going to die.)
BUT if you have martyrdon it should be fine.
Thats just what i think, so you should wait untill an mod helps you.

Problem is if it's the only perk you have, you cannot unequipped it.

If done on purpose, yes, it is considered grenade glitching, and can get you kicked if a Moderator is online. In your scenario, mistakes happen to everyone. Just try to be more careful when you suicide.

 

If you only had enough money for 1 perk martyrdom would not be the perk you would choose....

 

Until a patch comes for suicide glitching for nukes and infect, don't use martyrdom in infect. (wouldn't you use scavenger, since you need ammo to win?)

Someone that never played cod before might get it. I mean what sounds more fun? Run longer, or your body explodes and kills everyone around you after death. If i didn't know better, that would be the perk i'd go for.

 

Well only a very small amount of people would join without any knowledge of cod and would proceed to donate within a day of them joining, plus if they bought stuff it would most likely be minigun or something, because what sounds more fun minigun or suicidal explosion?

 

You have a point, but i'm just saying that some people do. It may not be many, but some do.

 

Still would be insanely rare occurrence though.

 

What you could do to patch this is make your grenade/c4 disappear when you die and not have it stay there or explode.

 

Just make it so survivors can't use that perk.

 

First of all, Martyrdom can't be a grenade glitch if the user unintentionally dies and kills the crowd around them. If they do intentionally die to get the kills from martyrdom, then it is a grenade glitch. A good solution would be to:

1. Advise players not to use martyrdom in infect, because there is scavenger.
2. Stay away from crowds.
3. Remove the ability to use the perk in infect (for survivors).
4. Don't donate for it.
5. Try not to die in crowds.
6. Don't use it infect.

There are probably more way but I'm tired so just do that to deal with it for now. Orange is currently coding a solution to suicide glitching.

 

I think a solution to Matyrdom would be to allow zombies to switch out their current perks with this. It'll make this perk more useful and prevent grenade glitching using Matyrdom.

Or the grenade could not work on your first death (unless you're a root) in Infect.
