Idea Remove Login Protection

    Recently, there has been a thing to where when you log onto the servers, you receive godmode for about 3 - 5 seconds. Lately, that has been getting me killed whenever I log on servers because it removes the element of surprise in my opinion. It throws me off and possibly gets me killed.

    What are your guys' thoughts on this and would you like to see this removed as well?

    I find login protection very stupid, without it i could have killed more people than I usually do. Remove login protection :smile:

    The protection seems to be on both sides, actually. I logged off in gas, in the main building, but off in one of the side rooms. Once I logged back on, I saw an enemy 3 blocks in from if me. I unloaded an entire clip of AA12 on him, and he took no damage. He proceeded to then turn around and maul me with his m16. However, right before I died, I was able to punch him, meaning he wasn't in god mode. I think it may be something with Minecraft in general, because I have seen that I get spawn protection for about 3 seconds when I log on in other servers too.

    Essentially how the login protection works:

    You log on, you can't hurt anyone and nobody can hurt you until the godmode has been removed after those few seconds.

    I find it ok because it I do not like spawn camping but Mario does have a point...... :smile:

    It is rather awkward when you log in and several people are in front of you. You unload a clip of AK in their face, and nothing happens. And then you die.

    It could either be removed completely, or shortened. Either way, it would be nice to see a change with it. It can sometimes be confused for actual god mode sometimes, if you are in spawn and start hitting someone.

    Very true about godmode, however, just a small idea that players could be spawned with Invisibility for 3-5 seconds, and have no access to attack players or be attacked themselves... Just an idea.

    I personally like the spawn-in protection. It lets you not die the instant you log in.

    You know what else ruins the element of surprise? Compasses.

    Yes, this may be true. But if you do log on right next to someone and you have login protection, then I feel it just gives them more than enough time to run away from you, you run away from them, etc. That and I said it takes the element of surprise away from you due to the fact that you can't deal any damage to anyone and vice versa.

    3-5 seconds isn't enough time to run away, what if there in a building? I think it's fine. It just gives them time to prepare

    If your in a chest or don't have a compass and you just ran all the way up north someone could just log in without you even knowing it and kill you

    It's bad because you can't use the element of surprise. Also the other way around good because you can't instantly die. I'm in the middle :/

    I have died countless times from logging in in the wrong spot. Even with that 3 seconds of protection. The benefits do not outweigh the hindrance.

    Its a plugin glitch.
    If they are invisible, you could just show up behind the person, your invis, and when it runs out they're basically dead.
