    You know might in Call of Duty how nothing else really makes you feel more accomplished than getting a collateral?
    Well I have an idea for mc-war to implement this, but in a fair way. This may have been suggested before, but since my idea is more specific and is tweaked from just your bullet passes through, it isn't a duplicate thread.

    2 Man Collateral:
    When a bullet passes through 1 person and goes to the next, the damage dealt by the bullet is 50% the original damage dealt by the gun you are using.


    3 Man Collateral:
    When a bullet passes through 2 people and onto the next, the damage is reduced to 25% of the original damage.

    4 Man Collateral:
    When a bullet passes through 3 people and onto the next, the damage is reduced to 15% of the original damage.

    5+ Man Collateral:
    When a bullet passes through 4 or more and onto the next, the damage is reduced to 10% of the original damage, and stays that way for 6 man collateral, 7 man collateral, 8 man collateral and so on.

    I realized something with what Brawler said how it would be sort of OP, so it might be better if it was only for snipers.

    Please say if you like this idea in the comments below, and leave your thoughts on if you think this idea should be tweaked or if it is just right.

    Yes! I love this idea! It would make shotguns SO much better! It would probably be difficult to code though, because you would have to generate a snowball coming out of a player, as a snowball hit a player. Also, can you collateral multiple times? i.e. A collateral bullet hits a player, would it "collateral" from there?

    As they said on my thread that's similar to this one, it's possible for entities to pass through players, meaning that it could be solved a in a more simple way.

    This would just go on and on. Really, if you had a powerful yet fast weapon like the Skullcrusher, MSR, or Disassembler and kept firing at a line of players, the bullets would infinitely fly through each player, dealing damage. I would only have bullets be able to go through one person unless the bullet is of a certain type. (.50 cal like the Barrett = 2 person penetration)
    Otherwise, if someone was lucky enough to score an Isolator headshot on the person in front of a group, that would mean like 6 or 7 free kills.

    I changed it so only the snipers could do this, you had a good point, although when are you going to see 6 people in a perfect line that are all down to low enough damage for this to work.

    It would be easier if you scored a headshot with the Isolator, which is pretty easy for many players anyways considering how large the snowball hitbox is.

    Okay, for discussion's sake, how much damage does an Isolator's headshot deal?

    This would be cool to implement I believe. The only reason I do not think this would be good is if someone had the skull crusher(let's say the map is void) you could literally just spam it down the hall getting a nuke in around 30 seconds. Also this means the people behind the one in front are powerless! Otherwise it would be kinda cool.

    Read my post.
    I said it would only work for snipers, because that's both what it is is CoD and it would be less OP for that.

    I'm sorry I must've missed this but then what if it's void and someone just a spams dissa with scavenger that would kill so many people. Don't get me wrong it's a great idea but it would make some guns OP.

    Dissasembler is only a 1 shot kill with a headshot, reduce 50% of that damage, then half of that, then 10% of that, and you'll find that the disassembler would be doing something like 3 hearts for 4 people.

    Two of the three most common (non-donor) primaries for high levels are snipers already, one of which has the highest damage per shot of any gun. Do they really need a buff?

    It could be like the awp in cs go.
    The first person it doesn't have to. He a headshot, but the second person has to have a headshot, same with the third, but a 4 is impossible.

    It is good, although it would be better with snipers since it would make more sense because the snipers are the only weapons able to hit/kill people on 1 bullet

    That would be a good Idea because if a person stands in front of you, get headshotted and you die with him on a 20ks :rage: ... You know what I mean

    I would LOVE to see this in MC-War!
    But here is my suggestion how to balance it:
    • New gun property: Bullet Penetration
      • This is the chance that the bullet goes throught a player
      • Goes from 0 to 1.00
      • Shotguns would range from 0-0.1
      • Pistols: 0.1 - 0.15
      • SMGs: 0.1 - 0.2
      • Autos: 0.1 - 0.3
      • Snipers: 0.5 - 1.0
      • This would make gun balancing a lot better and you could make the guns uniquer! Maybe solve the "iso-problem"?
    • Everytime the bullet goes through a player the damage is reduced by 25%.
