[Mod] Staff Interviews #7 FC_MercuryEL7 ~ Pizza Lover

I know it's been a while since I posted an interview so I thought it was time to get back into the swing of them.

Today, I am interviewing FC_MercuryEL7!

Let's go!

1. When and where did you hear about McBrawl?
I discovered McBrawl when I wanted to play a Battlefield 3 based server back in August 2013. There was this cool custom map and I was trying to see if anyone was using it. I didn't get any luck with it, so I expanded my searches to FPS based servers. I searched up "COD Minecraft servers" and clicked the first result. It was a Planet Minecraft post that claimed you didn't need mods to play. I was interested to see if it was true. I copied and pasted "1.mc-war.com" into my Multiplayer section, and that's where my career started off.

2. What was the first McBrawl game you played?
Mc-War. This is my favorite part of McBrawl. Honestly if it weren't for this awesome server, I would of left.

3. What made you keep playing the game?
Community. I first wanted to level up to prestige, and I'd say to myself that would be it. When I did, I made a lot of friends that I'd miss if I left. I chose to stay and am now lvl 57 with a decent KDR and a few nukes every week.


4. Do you like pizza?
Yes! I have always loved the taste of Hawaiian pizza with a garlic buttered crust.

5. What was the first thing you did when you discovered putty posted on your application with that acceptance message?
It went something a little like this: be surprised, confused, happy, excited, #nosleepteam.

I got on Teamspeak and felt super proud of myself. I wasn't sure if I could do it tomorrow [Team speak], so I joined in a few minutes before my bed time and I was half asleep.

6. What is your opinion on the Moderator rank so far?
The pink tag is quite in style.

I honestly feel that the Moderator rank is balanced as of now. It shouldn't be too overpowering, but it also should be able to handle some situations.

7. What do you enjoy doing the most within the McBrawl community?
Interacting with them. Answering questions, starting a conversation with a stranger or a friend, assisting them, saying What's up?

8. What are your most excited for at the moment?
McWarZ map. Gonna play it as soon it comes out, die, go back to McWar like nothing happened.

9. How did you come up with your username?
A quote from my intro.

"I think I spent a whole week brainstorming usernames before I bought the card. I didn't want anything too overused like: MercuryGaming, xXMercuryXx, Mercury1234. I wanted my name to be something that described me, and was unique in every way.

I came up with a username a lot better than the ones I used with the cracked client. “FC” stands for Football club, an abbreviation that usually resides next to a football club (FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC etc). “Mercury” is not based on the element or the planet, but rather to my preferred cleats in the pitch, Nike Mercurials. “EL” is an abbreviation of my name which I will not obviously reveal for privacy. Finally, “7” is my favorite number. If I ever am in the mood to get an alternate account, I will surely name it Neovenator_ (nee-o-ven-a-tor) , a name that means “new hunter” in Latin. I enjoy the concept of the meaning, as in the aging legendary hunter one has been replaced."

10. Do you enjoy being a moderator?
Yes I do. I am always learning from mistakes and improve the next time I log in. I enjoy answering the questions the player has, and being friendly to them. I hope more people begin to know I am approachable with any type of questions. Also, for the community, if you have any feedback please pm them, I am always looking forward into improving
