Minigun or Ray

I own the crossbow and I can assure you it is an amazing donator weapon. It is fun to use and can be very powerful indeed in the right hands. However, I would try using all of the donator weapons before making a decision if I was you. You can test them in the gun firing range located on the right side of the spawn.

 

Hmmmm, I say go with the minigun, as it's good for all the gamemodes, while the ray-gun is only great in infect.

 

The minigun is all-around better, but even with scavenger you have to be careful about your ammo count.

The raygun is amazing for infect, hence why so many people hate it, be careful though, there's a small delay between the click and the laser shot. It's only a problem at very short and very long range. Aim for the head against non-zombie players. Also, it's confirmed to be getting a nerf with the next major update.

You'll need to have scavenger equipped at all times with both of these, which isn't exactly a bad thing. But keep it in mind if you ever want to donate for more perks.

 

I'd go with minigun, it's more fun too.

 

The Minigun (minifun) is real fun to use and it's also pretty good. The ray however is basically only good with Scavenger. Also, the Ray Gun is getting nerfed soon.

It's just amazing, although it may be nerfed in the future, due to how powerful and OP it is now with scavenger.

Buy ray gun and I'll stand in front of you every Infect.

 

If you're choosing between the two, get the minigun for sure.
But if you're looking to get nukes and emps as you said, get the crossbow. Sometimes, I honestly for know how I get kills with it. You shoot one person, with no enemies in sight, and you get 3-4 extra kills .-.
But if you aren't looking to constantly be hated on, get the mini :L

Anyways, you get the extra kills because of the explosion radius. When the crossbow explodes when inside the person, and the person is near other players, those players die from the blast as well.

 

Yes, I know that, but even when there aren't any other enemies in sight, it happens a lot. I'm assuming it kills the players AFK at their team spawn :v

 

Or it's the explosion glitch, where when you instakill someone with the arrow, they die a second time due to the explosion.

Get as a priority Scavenger then Minigun and finally Ray-Gun.

 

DONT get cbow get minigun and ray because mini is better for tdm or infect, and ray is bad for tdm, but very good for infect

 

Donate to the minigun! But first you need scavenger because you are fast out of ammo

 

raygun is super op on infected machine gun is very good in all gamemodes [accept for onein and gungame but that is logic] i think you should go for machine gun cause that is very good in all gamemodes and raygun is only SUPER op on infected. and i dont think that super OP in 1 gamemode is better then very good in all gamemodes

 

It definitely is up to you! If you want to get tons of kills in infect but not a lot in any other game mode, go Ray. If you want a gun that can be used in pretty much any situation, go Minigun. I personally would go ray, because I already have a favorite gun for tdm and ctf. But, like I said, it all depends on what you want!

 

The mini fun(gun) is by far the one that you want to go with. It works well on many maps, and on almost all game modes. It is good for infect maps which involve a bottle neck, such as carrier or underground.
If you would like a good class set up, I recommend mini fun and the deagle. Use the deagle in medium to long range engagements, and use the mini for small to medium engagements. I find myself never having to aim down sights with this class. It is really fun to use, and gives pretty good results. Also, it clears out campers pretty well. I always like to play like a ninja, meaning sneaking behind the enemies and taking them all out.
