    This seems quite similar to gravedigging, but thanks for the information.

    Hmm... thanks for clarification, but this sounds exactly like grave-digging to me...
    Well, thanks Putput.

    I just recently encountered a bumper just about 2 days ago. Now I know I shouldn't reply to him next time. .3.

    So you are saying to add your idea on the original thread and add your revisions instead of making a new thread?

    What about already made new threads. Should they also be counted as a form of bumping in the way that they are parts of an old discussion continued in a new thread.
    So like there is a newer thread that has the same concept as an old one. Do you report that as being a Dupe? Or should you just continue the conversation on the newer thread with revisions. I would guess to report it, but I am just making sure.

    Gravedigging is another word for bumping. I'll clarify this in the rules thread.

    What is happening is that if people post a new thread of the same idea/bug/etc they are getting yelled at for posting a duplicate discussion and the thread gets locked. But, if they post on an old thread instead of posting the same discussion, they get yelled at for gravedigging/bumping.

    I'm wanting people to realize that gravedigging/bumping is not always what they are yelling at people for.

    Yes, report the thread for being a duplicate. The OP will be told to post on the older thread and the new, duplicate thread will be locked.

    ~~~~~~
    I've changed around the wording from bumping to grave-digging. I personally just referred to them as the same thing. Sorry for the confusion.
    Good update, I was always wondering what I have to do on a team or clan thread for example when there hasn't been a reply for over a month, but the team/clan is still active and you have some updates to post.
    This is good to know. Are threads in the off-topic area able to be fully gravedug (with the warning and such)? And also, this really will help a lot of our rule-enforcers on how to deal with grave-digging.
    The off-topic section follows the same rules listed in the OP.
    Nice improvement. I've been tired of people posting on old threads.
    A very much needed clarification, I see it is a different kind of grave-digging since it means that you can post on old threads but not if it is pointless, correct me if I'm wrong.
    Ok, well let's say someone bumps your counting game with another number. This wouldn't be a grave dig because it wasn't pointless, correct?
