    But this isn't "preferential treatment", it's simply a one-time recognition for donating to the server; it's not like we give them free credits every other day as thanks for donating.

    Okay. So let's say we are allowed to do this. What items can we give the player that are not unfair of unreasonable, and do not violate any rules?

    Mojang wants donors and non donors to be equal, and giving me an item for donating isn't equal. If a donor would receive an item, it would have to be cosmetic, like a hat.

    Here's one thing we must remember. Mcbrawl, and several other servers, are currently illegal. Mojang just doesn't care. Mojang's most recent statement is a change to allow servers to make money. Be thankful.
