Idea Chat-Mods

I have noticed a lot of players complaining about our community. More players call out others for hacking and are just rude in general. I have taken this idea from a server I was previously on, which is having a Chat-Mod rank. This rank helped solve advertising, spamming, and rude players on the server it was implemented on.
Here are the basics of how this would work:
Players would apply for Chat-Mod before they get Moderator. They would use a command such as /warn player (spam, advert, rude). These times would be preset to avoid abuse. Also, it would be easy to catch Chat-Mods abusing, because it will say in chat that "(Chat-Mod's Name) has muted (player) for (reason)." If then player wasn't abusing, the entire server gets to see that the Chat-Mod was abusing. Also, Chat-Mods can unmute players if they accidentally mute the wrong player, the player doesn't get muted after the designated time, or any other glitch.

Well, our moderators don't do anything about players being rude. I'm not trying to be rude, it's just not their job really. Players trash talk others in game and the mods don't do anything. Plus, this rank can't ban people or kick.

 

Only if they apply and get accepted though. We can't let all active members mute players.
