It really is one of the biggest problems. Players donate often for weapons and perks, correct? When you make these unobtainable without donating, it violates the EULA. If the guns could be unlocked at a later stage, this would be allowed under the new changes.

These dumbshrimps and Mojang are sugar coating this whole thing.
When they say you can't give an advantage to other people by donating, THAT IS LITERALLY BOWL SHRIMP!
99999999999/100000000000 out of all Minecraft servers need money for them, and the only way to get donations is to offer something in return.
    "Make it less pay-to-win?"
    THAT IS BOWL SHRIMP ALSO!
If you really cared about that, you would have done something about that a LOOONG time ago, or just ask the servers to become less pay-to-win, and if they don't give it a penalty or something, BUT NOT TEAR DOWN THE WHOLE F*CKING MINECRAFT MULTIPLAYER COMMUNITY SO YOU CAN SELL THIS CRAPPY GAME CALLED REALMS THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR! This is f*cking Google+ and Youtube all over again...... Google+ didn't sell so they forced it down our throats, Mojang is doing the exact same thing with us.....
I'm done ranting now, but seriously, everyone is pissed by this :v

I love the bowl shrimp phrase first of all. But on topic, servers are allowed to offer things in return for donations. You need to read the entire post from Mojang. Also, you can't just ask servers to be less pay to win. It doesn't work that way. Servers are illegally reselling Minecraft, so Mojang has a reason to put it to a stop. Servers will live and you don't have to play realms if you don't want.

I realy like the idea that the community can pay "together" for a special thing: e.g. Double XP Weekend, etc. :grinning:

That would be allowed as long as everyone received double xp.

The EULA will probably get passed - but immediately withdrawn. This is because:

Donor perks removed -> no donations.

No donations -> Servers shut down.
This will eventually happen to all servers.

Servers shut down -> minecraft looses traffic and money.
Servers are almost all traffic to minecraft.

Minecraft looses to much attention and withdraws EULA.

However, you are over looking this. Minecraft is CHANGING the current EULA to ALLOW donations. Donation perks are still allowed, they just have to be cosmetic. The servers will not die and the EULA will stand. This is a multi million dollar company. They know what they are doing.
