Nerfing the Minifun.

    It was a very huge mistake for me to come up with this gimmick called the Minifun in an attempt to persuade more players to stop using ray guns and etc so I'll just suggest 3 different nerfs to the weapon in here.

    Recoil - Just have the same recoil that used to be on the Minifun. This is what keeps it slightly balanced and prevents donor weapon abusing players from bouncing around like idiots across the map.

    Reload - Minifun comes with 64 bullets so as a very slight nerf, it should have a 1-2 second reload on it. How much ammo should it carry in a round? I really don't know since it comes with a very limited around of bullets but I would say 60 or higher.

    Slowness - Like the Heavy from TF2 carrying that thing should give you a Slowness III effect. This wouldn't bother campers a lot but it will drastically affect rushing and nuking with the Minifun.


    I'll most likely get many Disagree ratings and Dislike ratings for this but that'll help me on my road to getting most positive and negative ratings.

    I agree on recoil, but the other two?
    Just no.
    And btw Disagrees aren't negative ratings, they're neutral Like Switzerland.

    I like this idea. But slowness 3 seems a bit much, doesn't it? Maybe slowness 1 or 2, because it is a short ranges weapon, so chasing anyone wouldn't help, and slowness 3 would just be a pain at the start of the round.

    Recoil = Yes

    Clip = Make the clip 64, equal to starting shots. Not too high, not too low.

    Dude, the main reason people get the Minigun is because of the clip!

    But... Think...

    The clip would take away spamming non stop in infect. Just like, take out two guys and reload. Boom, problem solved. This way you can't just hold down the trigger the entire time.

    But everyone loves spamming non stop with Minigun on maps like carrier and WMD :/

    Well then that takes away all skill needed, and nobody likes a gun that takes no skill, do they?

    Lets say that 100 people support your idea.
    thats 100 out of 1000 users daily.
    Multiply that by 365, will equal 36,500 out of 365,000 people.
    Multiply that by 2, for the years this server existed.
    730,000 people out of 7,300,000 support your idea.
    7,300,000 people played on this server? I ****ed up somewhere.

    The thing you screwed up on is that you assume every day 1000 new players join. It should be 7,300,000 logins. Also, 36500/365000 * 2 = 73000/730000, not 730000/7300000.

    The slowness would be fair, also no reason to have some dislikes, you are stating the obvious.

    The recoil is being added back, I think they was emergency removed, just like blaze fireballs for the Flamethrower.
    It's a Minigun, it is not supposed to have to reload.
    Yep, the slowness would be fair. You can't simply carry that thing around.

    Besides, these nerfs would make the Minigun complete ****.

    So don't make it complete **** but just let it be completely OP?
    No.
    The minigun has its drawbacks, but the pros outweigh the cons very much.

    So, having slowless 3, enormous recoil, and virtually not being able to move while firing it are good are outweighed by some fast killing?
    Edit - And nerfing the Minigun won't do **** about the raygun.

    It's to make it so that it's not powerful and OP like the ray.

    This would make it TERRIBLE.
    Just give it recoil, that's the only nerf it needs.

    You're one of those guys who like to keep their OP weapons untouched and leave the weaker players by themselves to deal with their problems.

    I don't really use the Minigun except on some FFAs, carrier_infect, WMD_infect, and maybe some classic plaza_ctf.
    People paid for this, we don't want to give them a piece of crap that doesn't let you move when shooting.
    Sure, it needs to get the recoil back, all guns do, but that was an emergency patch and so it should be there.
    When the Minigun had recoil, it was balanced and nobody ever complained about it.
    Once Putty can fix the recoil problem it will go back to how it was before.
    Oh and a better idea is instead of to nerf the OP guns, which everybody will just go to the next best gun and pretty soon people will be shooting marshmallows at each other, a better idea is to give a small buff to the other guns.
    Seriously, why the hell am I getting spammed with dislikes, there is a disagree button, and that is what it is for.

    A minigun should have a large magazine size, especially since it is a belt fed weapon. At least a 100 or 200 round magazine seems fit for me.
    Recoil being readded would be nice. But again, all guns that had recoil before need it again to restore some balance.
    Slowness 3 is too much, slowness 1 or 2 would be better. In addition, there is an issue because the plugin detects when you have slowness and appropriately gives you aimed accuracy. (aka coding needs to be done to add this)
