    No. In real cod you run faster when holding a pistol, knife, or SMG.

    I think this idea would not work with marathon because effects dont add like items do

    To steer this thread back on topic, here are my thoughts:
    If you implement the unequipping of guns to earn speed, that would make marathon obsolete....
    Also: This is a game based on GUNS not players running around using SWORDS...

    So i don't really like this idea... Don't hurt the poor Marathon perk please... It isn't used very much as it is...
