I expect that they'll make the current donor guns available after the change for some ungodly number of credits, and make sure everybody knows that if they plan to donate, they need to do it soon. Possibly even have a sale to pull in some of the on-the-fence people. Other perks like MVP and VIP will either get trashed or completely remade to fit the EULA. One thing they could do is reduce the benefits of the perks, but make it apply to everybody on the server. That way, there'd still be an incentive to buy and the perks would fit the EULA.

Please read what I just posted. Even if the guns are unlock-able, they still may not be bought.

They're not completely unlock-able, just like level 200 and cost 9999999999999.

Still violates the EULA. That is, if you're trying to say they can be bought via donations.

I'm not, although I guess I could've been more clear about it. It's buried in there and implicit, but:
(because they won't be available for donations after August 1st)

Needs to be worried about 18kss.
Referring to this: "Currently the plan is to make the current purchasable guns open for everyone to buy, but make them cost an insane amount of credits." from Putty.
This violates the new EULA. As one of Mojang's follow up statements says, there is no balancing donations with things that can be achieved in game. Also consider this: I am a level one and someone else is a level one. I buy donor guns and the other level one doesn't. I have a big advantage over them.

When they mentioned balancing in the Q&A, they meant gameplay balance. e.g. nerfing the donor guns to uselessness doesn't mean that we can still sell them. In the Q&A, they stated that servers could make the donor items either freely available or earnable, as long as no purchase is required. Putty's idea is fine, as long as the items can't be purchased with hard currency.

Example: one hard money (USD) is equivalent to 10,000 in game money so mini fun would cost 50,000 credits
    Since minifun costs $5

Actually hard money (USD) can not be sold for Credits (War). This was covered in the Q/A

This is not wat I say,
When the Eula come into play they will make the donor guns can be purchased with in game credits.
I did not say you can buy credits with hard money

So the EULA allows cosmetic items that don't affect gameplay to be sold. What if all the donator weapons were to be nerfed to the point where they are no better than using any other gun? It would just be like getting a different looking weapon. So it's sort of a cosmetic item. Riiiiiiiight?

I also noticed that they allow limited trial periods so long as trial and paying users have access to the same features. Perhaps we could use this as well?

Oh sorry. The way you phrased it had me confused.

Not exactly. Mojang does not believe in balancing things out. The problem with this is there is still a gun that can only be bought via donating. Even if the gun sucks, it's illegal.

Please expand on this trial idea.

You're probably right. That first idea was cheating a bit.

On the trial idea, I noticed Mojang had this on that page:

If I understand this correctly, I believe it would be possible to have trial periods for donor stuff, so long as it is possible for trial users to use everything paying users can. We could allow all users a free trial of everything that you can buy for a month or something like that.

This is very similar to Party. Party won't be hurt too much in the donor shops. The only problem is that VIPs get a credit boost if I am correct.

    Wait.
    I just realized this.
I'm pretty sure someone in Mojang talked about how buying unbans were unfair and stuff, so does that mean whoever bought unbans would be banned again?

No. Players who bought unbans will remain unbanned as far as I know. This one is really the server's option.
