Item Despawn Duration

Before it get into this I do not know if this is a glitch or not.
I know that this thread was created to suggest the increase or eliminate item despawning altogether, but what it is now is a little too much. I understand that sorting through the items of a fallen one is what you should do, just not forever. Having items despawn rapidly makes for more intense gameplay. After you kill your opponent you rush to claim that certain ammo, weapon, or armor. Sometimes you get what you wanted sometimes you do not, the one constant is you will be able to go once the items are gone. Then all of a sudden you can leave and progress the game towards the end. Instead of hording the items with this urge to keep them all.
As it is now I run and find more items than I care to. they just end up cluttering my inventory from players unwant. I no longer feel like I am fighting for time which takes away from the competitive game style.
I see more players die now sifting through items than before. One would think players would want to go out guns blazing than clearing your inventory of all the m9s you find while trying to get that one tier IV weapon.
Decrease the amount of time it takes for items to despawn, please, for the game.

 

Unless you snipe the person from the edge of your render distance you have enough time to haul butt over there.
