Are you on a Windows? If so, I can teach you how to up your gamma, which should help.

 

Basically you edit the files of Minecraft to up maximum brightness. You can set it to 1000% if you want, or adjust it to see better in the dark.

 

That would be awesome! But just a warning, if you record, people will accuse you of full-bright.

 

Den just show em yo gamma, should you ever get banned. I know ASFJerome uses 1000% gamma, and literally nothing is dark in his videos. I use 10.0 gamma (max), and nothing is really "dark".

Anyways, I don't really find the idea of an eternal day too swell. The day/night cycle adds a sense of realism and fighting during the night is fun in itself.
