    Friends
    Just an addon the the website.
    So, what I was thinking is that you could have friends on the website. Pretty simple.
    As friends you can see what the player|user post on his/her status.
    Just to keep players updated and everything.
    Simple but pretty cool idea.

    Friends can see when your online.
    Last activity.
    Last on etc..

    You can also have favorite friends.

    Isn't this like following someone? Many of the things you listed can be done by following another forums member.

    You can follow someone, but not have them follow you back, and vice versa, so it doesn't necessarily feel like having "friends".

    That's why I had it more like friends and so players can request to have them. Also we could still have following but as a friend you will have like more notifications from them and they could make the status so only some members can see it.

    Not really, it's more like: " Hey you're a special guy so I follow you. " A friend would be more private.

    You already get notifications from the people you follow. It's in your news feed if you want to see what posts the people you are following are making.

    Rarely anyone checks the news feed...

    I don't think your really supposed to get notifications from players, like when they post something on their profile or anything.
