How to Make a Creative Application

Before reading: This guide is meant for the benefit and guidance to people who don't know how to make a good application. I would highly recommend that you read through it if you are one of those people who don’t have a natural ability for writing in general.

McBrawl Creative Ranks Application: How to make a good Creative application.

Beforehand, you must be active on McBrawl's creative server and have a somewhat good reputation on there. With barely any activity on it, you probably won't get accepted since there are more dedicated people wanting the rank. Just being on the server frequently helps your chances immensely.

What rank do you currently have? -
This is simple. What ever rank you have before your name (your prefix) is the rank you currently have. My recommendation would be to apply for the rank next door to your rank for better chances of your application being accepted.

What rank are you applying for? -
In this question, you should be absolutely certain as to what rank you want. It is crucial as the creative managers may not be so lenient on giving you the rank because you’re incapable of deciding which rank you want to apply for.

Do you understand what this rank provides? -
You must have a full understanding of what your rank provides. For extra points and to give yourself a more lengthy/detailed application, you may want to give a little description. (Click Here for the rank information)

Are you part of any Building Teams in our community? -
If you are a part of a building team, then your chances of getting your rank are most likely going to raise. It gives you extra points and shows you are dedicated to building, especially if you contribute to great builds by build teams a lot.

What is your experience with building in Minecraft? -
Please try to be detailed with this question, and make it sound good and use good grammar. Don't just say two sentences that "I've been building for two years and I am a good builder." That probably will decrease your chances since that question is used to see if you could handle a WE Rank. It would be better to list a brief paragraph about your building history and what you’ve built.

Why do you need the rank? -
You can't just apply just because you want to look good and have a rank. You must have a good and convincing reason as to why you need a rank. An example is "I need AdvBuilder because my builds that I make on this server don't fit the size of a small plot and I need a bigger plot in order to make bigger builds." A convincing answer on this question is very crucial because if there isn't a reason, your application is basically pointless and there would be no reason to give you the rank for. On top of that, I would recommend looking at the “need” part of the rank as in needing the permissions for the rank to build.

Show us a picture of your current build -
You must have at least one build you are working on for this rank. For WorldEdit ranks, this must be pretty impressive and you also might want to show progression like updating your screenshots when you are building. Click Here for an example of a good build. Please, don't just screenshot some random build that isn't yours, because if we find out then your app WILL be denied. If you aren’t building anything as you are applying, then you shouldn’t be applying.

Show us pictures of your previous builds -
It is very important to have at least two builds you made in the past because it does ensure that you haven't just started building right before you made this application. For Advbuilder, I would let it slide if you improvised a little build within 30 minutes and use it as a previous build, saying that you don't need buildings like Mr_O's to get that rank. Also, those builds do count as complete. Any WE ranks should have builds you have made over a good period of time. Click Here for an example of good builds made in the past.

Do you realize if you abuse any commands or privileges rank will be taken away? -
You must know that if you are abusing your powers, that you will be demoted and even banned depending on the case. If you don't realize this, then there isn't a point in giving you the rank. Its plain obvious that if you don’t answer yes the creative managers won’t give you the rank, because you aren’t responsible enough for your creative rank.

By now, you should be finished with your application. Here is one of the most important parts to the application. DO NOT FORGET THE POLL! Along with the poll, please display votes publicly so we can see if you voted for yourself. If you aren't a trustworthy person and your poll votes aren't displayed, we probably will say that you voted for yourself if there is only 1 yes on your poll and 5 no votes. An example of the poll will be posted were the poll is. Your options can be just Yes (+1), Maybe (+0), and No (-1). Also, be kind to your critics. If they say -1 or no to you application, just don't say anything if you aren't a nice person, or just reply with "Okay, I respect your statement. Thank you for the feedback."

Please. Also, just for personal reference, I would recommend setting the poll so that they have to vote to see the results. It helps with having critics give out their opinion, not the community’s opinion. In addition, you can also set the poll so that once they vote, they can’t change it for the sake of wanting to have the same opinion as the majority.

Alright, so I just woke up and I am please to see Pikmin's response as well as 4 Yes vote on the poll. I just discovered that my hyperlinked worked, since I took a wild guess for it. I put a lot of effort in it, but since I was getting pressured to get off my pc, some parts may have not been as good as they should have been. I will add your example into the guide.
