Private PvP Arena

The arena took about 18 hours to make in all. It's completed underground and is the perfect place for some friendly PvP. Here below lies some quick screen shots and a bit of information about the arena.

Now with the image below, you're probably thinking the place is garbage. However, this is a screen shot I took when the arena was a work in progress. It returned enough cobble to fill half of my vault (and yes I kept it all). It took up about 20 different enchanted diamond pickaxes when done.

This is the small entrance to the arena. Nothing special. Off to both sides there are two staircases for the competitors to enter. The entrance across the bridge is for the spectators.


And here's the view of the arena from a spectators view. Nice wide area and matching view.


Here's the inside of the control room. The person who controls the fight has 3 levers. They can allow the gates to open at the same time (so the gladiators/PvPers can fight, allow lava to fall from the middle of the roof, or open and close middle trap door that leads to a mini lava pit.

Well. It turns out I uploaded the max amount of files. You'd have to come to see the rest. However. There is one rule I can't stress enough. I don't want any flame war fights going on here. If you can't handle armor being lost or someone who uses the arena, then don't use it. Any flame wars should be dealt with at spawn.

I wanted to have the pleasure of taking this one on by myself though. It'll be a blast once things speed up and we get a lot of people to join in this.

 

I'm always adding in new stuff to it.

 

I may need some slime balls for pistons. Working on lava trap doors and I need 80 of them.

I would but it'd be harder for people to knock others into it. Working on making 8 more toggable lava pillars.

 

I thought they were resetting when 1.8 comes?

 

I'm building more and more onto it as well. Now there's a total of 5 switches to change the fighting experience. I'm calling it quits on the redstone and pistons though. It's starting to lag a few seconds after they're pulled.
