More of an incentive to actually capture the flag in ctf

    You probably notice in mc war during ctf, half the time the flag is not captured as the players try to nuke or duoble nuke during the 6 minutes instead of capping the flag. To get players to actually capture the flag, give more of an incentive. Here are the incentives:

    Capture the flag: 150XP per capture
    The team that wins gets 500xp for winning. Those who capped the flag get a bonus of 200p.

    The team that looses gets 150 xp. Those who did capture the flag, but their team lost would get 50 bonus xp.

    These are just small incentives so the server players actually try and play the objective, not just use the 6 minutes to get as many nukes as possible.

    I agree, there should be a greater reward for capping the flag.

    You actually get a lot of XP if you play the objective and get kills. I think we're fine :V

    Lots of people like CTF because the round lasts a very long time, given that nobody reaches the capture limit. This gives an opportunity for multi nukes, which are usually impossible in TDM. Plus, adding an xp bonus makes it pretty much useless for the people who are above level 41+, and just ends up shortening the round for them when other people capture the flag.

    But the objective is to capture tue flag, not multi nuke.

    True, but if you take away peoples' ability to multi nuke then they will be angry. Multi nuking is like bringing back the head of the boar. It's an achievement.

    Lets just say this.
    • There are the lower level players who find that the 100 xp boost from Capturing the flag is really good, and that they find that capturing the flag is the objective of ctf and are willing to give up a okay kdr for a bad kdr.
    • And then, there are the try-hard level 30+ who buy s-armor and spam crossbow down a corridor, hoping for a nuke, a double nuke, if not triple nuke. They find no use in capturing the flag and instead try getting the flag instead, so it can't be captured. They won't die easily, so chances are, the flag will remain with the user for a while.
    • And then there are anti-CTF people. They are the tryhards described in the little paragraph above, and find that CTF (not the gamemode) is stupid, and discourage Capturing the Flag. They flame at players for ending a match 100 seconds early because they captured the flag 6 times, and some even say that "capturing the flag should be bannable".
    I find the idea useless saying that 95% of all prestiges don't want to capture the flag and some actually protest against CTF. More people want to Multi-nuke than to CTF. It's a bigger achievement.
