    This is a bit of an idea I had whilst thinking about newbies and my obsession with 8-bit guns combined with the need to go "pew pew pew".

    Anyway, it's an unofficial idea, but if it gets enough positive ratings (both in the form of likes etc. and in the poll) I'll create an official one.

    This idea is basically just a baby ray, but instead of one long beam it's kinda like a long bullet..
    I want to know if this is possible, and any other ideas/criticism you guys have.

    It's like a nerfed ray gun for lower levels, but without all the "ray noob" etc.
    I don't know if this is possible, but I'm thinking something like the ray that shoots like this: > -- -- --
    Ray gun: > -----------

    Hopefully that cleared it up? v:

    by the way the > is the gun, - is the bullet

    So are you implying something like the Ray gun mk. II? I say this because this version of the ray gun shoots three round bursts of layers, similar to bullets.
    So, are you implying on adding a new ray gun like the mk. II that shoots bursts of three lasers instead of one long beam that explodes? Keep in mind the mk. II has no splash damage. Also, minecraft does not have a projectile that is similar to a laser. If we used red stone particles, it might cause a lot of server lag (do not quote me on if this is true). You will probably have to use snowballs or eggs, and code them to pass through people.

    I like the idea of a ray gun with shorter rays.
    Maybe this could even be a raygun nerf?

    I'm trying to get ideas, but from my base idea, no. I'd say in-between msr and ak. Med. firerate, but burst might work v:

    Probably not, but if after the ideas are collected it seems like a good idea, then yes.

    Hmm.. Maybe. I was thinking more of something newbies could use. While I do think ray should be nerfed, I'd rather see two types instead of one. Also, Since it wouldn't be extremely good, I don't think people will use it instead of buying ray.
