    I was always under the impression the sudden loss of recoil was a bug. I was talking with munkeywr3nch in a different thread and learned that they took out recoil on purpose. He said the reason was players were getting out of maps. Now I am ok with trying to fix that problem, but if this truly was done on purpose it seems a bit drastic. I mean recoil is kind a necessity for guns. Is there not a better way than taking out a feature this server is based of off? I assume this was suppose to be a temporary solution then never got resolved. If you are working on fixing the map flaws and are adding the recoil back, great, sorry to take your time.

    There was an error with the plugin where instead of shooting players back, it actually shot them up 1 block and so if they timed it perfectly they could make a 2 block jump and easily OOM.
    It was an emergency patch, and it WAS needed ASAP.

    Yes, I completely agree with this. I would have made a similar thread myself, but I didn't have all the facts to review.
    Now, removing it on purpose, that's a big no-no. I mean come on. Using it to get OOM? Barely anyone got OOM with recoil when we still had it, and more than half the people that were OOM weren't there because of recoil.
    Even if you and your friend TRIED to get each other OOM, it would take more than one try.
    So I definitely think that Mc-Brawl should re-add recoil as well.

    I agree also, I was just think about this and was gonna make a thread about this. But I guess I don't need to now. :smile: I think Recoil should be re added to Mc-War.

    Hey, if you're going to dislike my post, at least tell me why. Who knows, maybe there is a different side to this that I haven't considered. Otherwise it's kind of useless.

    They should keep the recoil removed from the model and add it back to every other gun. It's not possible to glitch your way out of the map with any other gun except this shotgun.

    I kinda like the recoil.
    In real life, guns go up in your hands, that don't push you back 1 whole meter, and they sure don't let you jump 2 meters into the air.

    Guys.
    I think you need to read my other post.
    They were all about keeping the recoil, but a BUG IN THE PLUGIN THAT MADE IT SO YOU WOULD BE SHOT A BLOCK IN THE AIR caused them to remove it.
    Going OOM was when the bug was in and they couldn't fix it at the time, so they just took it out.
    So there is really no point in this thread, the admins are working hard on it, and it is supposed to be seen back sometime in November I'm hoping.

    Instead of making recoil shoot you up, it should make you slowly move back instead.

    I just want some staff confirmation. As we all know anytime there is a date set for an update it is usually never on that date, understandable of course. They could patch the spots with the invisible ladders, invisible doors, more blocks, or even change the rules. Now if they are planning on waiting until 1.8 comes out so they can use the invisible blocks, awesome, but have the common decency to drop us a notice.

    They did drop us a notice.
    Recoil was removed back in maybe December.

    No, they said that recoil was removed for an emergency patch and they were working on it ASAP.

    Well some guns need to have a lower recoil but, it's not worth taking off the recoil on all guns.
