Well, fpsHG came out recently and there's a huge minestrike event going on. So yeah...

In my opinion, yes. You've got all these players spamming op prestige weapons and donor guns so much that it's causing noobs to ragequit. But, I haven't noticed if the player count is going down (most likely not) because I haven't been online for a long time. This is the main reason why I'm supporting the EULA, because it might just solve this problem if everyone's on a more fair level.

Well, I have stopped almost entirely because I personally find WarZ, McParty, and generally other servers worth my time, and not MC-War. Until 2.0 comes out and donors guns aren't pay2win, then I will be still staying away.
Also, as F1r3tar said, the majority of the newcomers aren't very excited about being spawn-camped with Rayguns on infect and by cbows on TDM/CTF, not including being demolished by the minigun on FFA.
I find that war is a lot more boring than it was several weeks ago, and most of it's goodness has faded many months ago from the general community being annoying, plus the try-hards with S-Armor and cbow ready to nuke the other team by spawn-camping them.
Even though MC-War used to be one of the most popular servers of McBrawl, I find that it is going downhill steadily unless the EULA comes out and donor guns disappear/get nerfed and the majority of the community go through mental therapy/anger management classes and learn to be nice and "Calm their asses down when they die".

 

It is going down gradually because of the reasons above as well as a Youtuber who probably will stop making McWar videos after he got hooked on Steam.

 

I wouldn't say it's dying, but it has diminished in some ways. It's most likely because there hasn't been a major update in a little over a year and/or players have just ranked up to high enough level and have everything and they've lost interest in it since it is repetitive.

 

Me and remi are gonna stay away, only because mcwar has gone the way of warz, and since warz aint gettin worse, we will play that

 

If anything is wrong with it, its because of high level assholes. Period.

 

The only thing to save war is the following:
A
Eula needs to do what it was intended to do...
B
War needs an update... everyonev(including orange) has lost faith in orange
C
Putty needs to counsel the raging masses... and burn the assholes

 

I just got a msg on skype saying that orange has left minecraft and gone on to coding a lol cod mod

 

War did get the smg update and the chat update, but that didn't help anything. Updates won't stop the mass of tryhards and ragers unless it's an update that makes almost everything non-p2w.

I think we need to get @chickenputty up in this. He seems to be... Most interested in War than any other staff atm. Giving he has been doing the updates and what-not. ( Correct me if I'm wrong )

The reason why War has become to **** is because of the stereotypes and the stuff that goes on in the chat.

When I first joined War, 2 years ago, it was the best server in Minecraft. Nothing came close to it. And the key to it's success was, for one thing, the community. Back then, no-one raged, DDoSed, spammed or was generally a retarded immature kid. The other thing was that you could hop on the server for the first time and enjoy yourself. Now, if you're a new member and you join, you will be raged at, called a noob, and all of these things make people think that they don't want to be here.

But for me, the biggest thing that is making War go down is how pay-to-win it's become. 2 years ago, a person with the law was OP, but not many people owned it. And as soon as all the guns such as the Raygun, Cbow and Minigun get into the wrong hands suddenly it takes no skill anymore. In the modern age, people stay in one spot and blast others with their Bow or Raygun, giving the person nearly no chance to kill them, whilst getting cheep kills.

 

We need the mythical 2.0!
The update spoken of only in legend and lore!!!

I think that mc-war is going downhill,

About 6 months ago i was in 38 place on leaderboards, i whent on vacation and when i came back i got hooked to warz, After maybe 2 months i came back to war, and now i barly ever play enymore, because its much more laggy with all the rayguns and stuff like that, and some pll just spam there guns like there is no tomoro. Im still not that bad in mcwar i yousually get 1-2 nukes the game, but, now its getting harder since i never play enymore and pll are getting better at camping/spamming the skully while jumping. And i find that now almost everybody jump and shoot.
