What's With This Command?

    So recently I was playing on an Mc-War server and there was someone claiming that you could get an easy nuke with a command. So naturally I was very surprised by this and I was thinking,"No way that the moderators, admins, and programmers would allow for a command with that power." He claimed that this command was /fp nuke I believe. So I did this command and I got kicked off the server. My friend tchuckraider / Thomas was there and he did the same thing but when he tried to get back onto the server apparently he was temp banned. So my first question is, can this command actually get you banned? My second question is, why create a command such as this one? It doesn't really matter to me that someone was saying you could get a nuke with it, but more why would they create something like this.     /fp is a command used by staff to change the next map to any desired map and game mode. Normal players using it results in being kicked.

    I don't know if you can, that's why I was concerned but maybe he was Temp banned for another reason. Although I still would like confirmation from an admin about the Temp ban.

    Back in the old days, I believe you received a permanent ban if you exploited this command. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Anyways, I really dislike the people out there who get a kick out of other people, well, being kicked. I believe that this should not be allowed, since you can apparently still be temp-banned. Also, if you are in a game, you can be kicked out of the server and not be able to join the game again if you fall for this trick.

    Yeah, I remember I ALMOST got banned for doing it, some mod (I think Choci) came on and temp banned the person telling me to do it.

    As Majora said, /fp is a staff only command. I'll go into a brief history.
    So /fp was a secret command, but if you knew it you could use it. After people began exploiting this, orange451 made it so that anyone abusing /fp would be permanently banned. It was pretty serious.
    After it was changed to a simple kick, people began using it as a troll command to trick other players.

    So that's where we are right now. /fp shouldn't temporarily ban you, it only kicks.
    Locked -- answered question.
    PM staff with questions, if you want this unlocked and have a good reason, etc.
