Story A friend in need

To celebrate 300 positive ratings. I would like to share a true story of mine. It is actually a secret that I never let anyone knew, including my best friends. But I would let to show my secret to you guys. As I truly love this server so much. tears ran down my cheek as I created the thread.

A friend in need

I stand on the wooden dock. The sunset looming over me. I see myself on the crystal water. I stand there, staring at the water. Memories flood into my mind.

I remember.
I remember when I first met my first friend.
Back at the playground.
Where the kids were screaming in delight when they came down the slide.
Where the adults were relaxed on green benches, laughing.
I was trying to get down the ladder.
I fell, my leg was sore.
I whimpered, as I saw the scratch on my leg.
Suddenly a girl came up to me. She helped me get up.
But I quickly scurried to my parents forgetting the girl.

I remember.
I remember the first day when I went to school.
I was lost, lonely, shy.
Then I see the girl.
A blonde girl, with blue eyes
She came up to me.
With her cute, high voice.
She asked me to be her friend.
Not knowing to say, I nodded
She introduced a couple of her friends.
Then she asked my name
Finally with the courage to speak, I said aaron
Her name was Emily.
Emily. A name i will treasure.

I remember.
I remember in year 6.
We had a graduation dance.
Emily asked me if I could dance we her.
I was blushing, sweating, as my friends went oooooooooo!
Finally I told her yes. She got excited.
At that night, she wore a fine blue dress
That dress was beautiful, delicate as well
The dance was really fun, lots of food and drinks
But the best thing was. It was the dance with her.

I remember.
I remember last year, in year 8.
I organized a day at the city with a bunch of friends.
Emily was there.
Her image sparkled me.
I had favored her a long time.
But my personality interfered.
The day was entertaining.
At the end, me and Emily were on a wooden dock. Looking out towards the sunset.
She held my hand, and thanked me for the day.
I blushed, and was about to say no prob-
She quickly kissed me.
Her lips were so smooth.
That feeling was one of the best of my life.
And that's how we started our relationship together.

But...

A car accident.
My parents drop me at the hospital.
I see Emily's mum weeping as the rest of Emily's family and friends cry and grief.
It was too late.

My rooms a mess.
I couldn't sleep.
I stare at a picture of me and Emily on the dock.
My eyes are full of tears.

I see the wooden coffin surrounded by flowers.
I see a portrait of Emily on top of the coffin.
The priest and Emily's mum made a few words.
After that, everyone left to eat.

I still stare at Emily's portrait.
Trying to hold back the tears.
But I can't. The pain is too strong.
I run, I run to the wooden dock.

As the memories soon are gone.
Tears plummeted the still,calm water like bombs.
I stand there. I suddenly see Emily on the water.
She smiles. Then my mind if flooded with memories again.

I realize.
That Emily will still always be with me.
She will still guide me through hard times.
She will always be a part of me.

So from this day on.
I do my best. Even if it is hard.
Because Emily is always with me.
She is the strength that keeps me going.

And I hope all if you have friends to keep you going.
