I always love to see people complaining that the Desert Eagle isn't the best handgun ever. It amuses me that people think that way and I want to set them to rest. The .44 is known as "The Most Powerful Handgun in the World" and, while this is true, the Desert Eagle and multiple other pistols are .45 caliber weapons. ".45" caliber weapons are technically better than the .44 Magnum. The reason the .44 Magnum is know as the most powerful handgun is because of the amount of powder shoved up its rounds. The .44 has more powder behind the bullet and therefore can shoot with more power. The Desert Eagle does have a larger caliber, but less powder. Meaning the bigger bullet has less force behind the impact. This leaves, in theory, and bigger hole but not as deep.

The .44 Magnum being "the most powerful handgun in the world" is a reference to Dirty Harry, which is some movie.

All I can tell you is that both of them are pretty powerful in WarZ.
    Especially the desert eagle.

The .44 is actually a more powerfully loaded weapon than the Desert Eagle. While it may be a reference to Dirty Harry, it does have more powder behind the bullet than .45 caliber pistols. You have to remember the .44 is also extremely old, so it has more behind it because back in the good Ol' days people over did everything, except safesex. This is coming from the nephew of a gun hoarding redneck. I know a lot of this... :3

Irl the Desert Eagle is a 1 shot kill unless shot in the leg lets go see some stats shall we...
Which one got a faster reloading ammo? Well the .44 Magnum has 6 bullets while the Desert Eagle I believe has 7. Then the Magnum you had to put the bullets in 1 by 1 while the D Eagle you got a mag and just put in. Desert Eagle +1
Which one has more accuracy? Well the Magnum has been known for its low recoil and high damage rate, it is pretty damn accurate! You can hold it like a rifle if you wanted to. While the D Eagle has a big kick and high recoil and it is pretty heavy if you ask me. So this round goes to the +1 Magnum
Which one has more damage? Well the Magnum is pretty high in damage and has more powder than the D Eagle which is the downfall. Which means if you shot someone and killed them they would fall to the ground if it was a headshot and get pushed back like a shotgun but not so much. While the D Eagle is pretty powerful and has not that much gunpowder but a pretty decent amount. Like I said before it is a 1 shot kill like before but you have to be close so this round is a tie +0
Which one is lighter? While the Magnum is very light (I held both guns) and kinda easy to hold, while Desert Eagle is quite the opposite it is very, very heavy and hard to put up to your face and aim. So if you had a gun (For safety purposes) and a robber came in and you wanted to wound him for the cops, you would get killed for trying to pick up the Desert Eagle while the Magnum just pick up and shoot. +1 Magnum
Okay I'm gonna stop here. Though I love the Desert Eagle I have to go with the Magnum its power and accuracy is just so good and its light so Magnum. P.S I'm not a guns expert.

The .44 Magnum was indeed the most powerful handgun at one point but was surpassed by other handguns after.
I'm pretty sure people say the statement that it was in the most powerful handgun was from the old Dirty Harry moves.

In McWar the deagle is by far the superior weapon. I think this thread is about the real life weapons though, and I'm not exactly a gun expert so I have no clue.

I know that the .44 magnum is just a VERY little bit more powerful then dealge irl (I have used them both at least once) but the dealge is very powerful too. And as EKBNPlayer said, dealge is 1 shot kill unless shot in da leg. The magnums the same however if u get shot in da leg with a magnum the bullet goes tight thru ur leg and bone, and if its on the right angle it will shatter ur leg. .44 magnum is more powerful then the dealge.

True, but since then there have been more powerful sidearms.
And what about the DEagle's .50 cal ammunition? What happened to that?

Well, both weapons are nice. The .44 has more powder while the Deagle has more caliber.

The .44 Magnum just has more powder behind each round. I've shot Colt .45s and the kick is relatively high with each round and you cant just go trigger happy. Considering the .50 is larger, there will be MUCH more kick.

Yeah, I didn't read the whole post first XD
