New EULA: What We’re Doing

Hello, Brawlers!

As most of you already know, Mojang has been talking about the new Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA) that all multiplayer Minecraft servers must abide by. Therefore, McBrawl has to make some changes to the current store items.

In the EULA, they state that Minecraft servers cannot continue selling items that give players any kind of in-game advantages, at all. The EULA has been here since December 2013, but now Mojang has announced that they are going to be enforcing this rule in a slightly more strict manner.

MC-War:
Unfortunately upon the release of the official EULA statement, we will be disabling purchasing from the MC-War shop. The shop will be disabled until MC-War 2.0 is released. The update is currently being being coded by killer_99 and we expect for it to be out relatively soon. The shop will be completely revamped after the update.

However, the good news is that all current purchased items can remain in MC-War. In order to do this, we have to make the items accessible to all players. So, all purchasable guns, perks, and equipment will be able to be purchased with a large amount of credits by any player. Everyone who purchases a donator weapon, perk, or equipment before the EULA change will have that weapon unlocked.

MC-WarZ:
WarZ’s purchasable rank perks will change after the EULA takes place. However, we will be releasing a token system where you can spend them to teleport and to rent a enderchest. These tokens will be obtained mainly through voting and other methods in the future. Since everyone will have access to these features they can remain in the game until your rank expires.

Anyone who purchases VIP or MVP prior to the EULA change will be able to teleport and use enderchests without having to use tokens. Any rank purchased after the EULA will not have access to this, as it goes against the EULA. Buy your ranks now!

Minecraft Party:
Sadly the EULA clearly prohibits the use of coin multipliers. Since this is one of Minecraft Party's main rank perks, we'll be substituting it for more unlockable cosmetics. Everything else that the VIP rank provides (colored names, fireworks) are purely cosmetic, so they are allowed to stay.

PvP Survival:
Most donator features on PvP Survival already abide by the EULA. The only feature that is going to change are the extra warps for VIP, MVP, and PRO ranks. We will be replacing these with more cosmetic features. You can also expect to see the token feature used for Survival ranks too.

The MC-War and MC-WarZ shops are going to have a 15% off sale until the EULA is officially released, or up until 8/8/14. This will allow anyone to purchase any last minute War items before the shop is closed. You may also buy a WarZ rank if you would like to access the enderchest and teleport without the use of tokens.

We will keep you updated on the status of our EULA updates. You can expect to see a lot more perks based around supporting McBrawl by voting, sharing, and the sort. This will allow you to support McBrawl and get some awesome rewards for doing so.

Please note that we're not trying to cheat anyone out of what they paid for. We understand that some if these changes may be upsetting to you, but Minecraft is doing this to ensure that servers follow their ideas of what Minecraft should be. Even though we may not fully agree with the changes they put into place, we hold no grudge against Mojang for making this decision, and we would appreciate it if our community felt the same.

Q: Will I lose my donator rank that I currently have?
A: No, you will keep everything you buy before the change or until it expires.

Q: When will these changes come into effect?
A: Whenever the official EULA statement is released. Most likely when the 1.8 update comes out.

Q: Will we be adding more cool features to our donator shops?
A: Yes, tons of exciting new stuff.

A: You will still be able to donate, and we will still be offering other cool perks for the people who do. More information will be released in the future when we know exactly what we are doing.

All items in your enderchest will still be there after the EULA, you'll just have to rent an enderchest using our new token system to get access to them.
