When you are in a clan, you will always be on the team with your clan. Say you join a clan and a game starts for tdm, your clan will be placed on the same team with you.

 

Basically, a clan gives you a clantag that overlaps your rank. It won't give you any special perks in game, however you will stand out in chat with your clantag. Here is the clan page : https://www.brawl.com/wiki/clans-war/

Basically a clan allows you and your friends to be on the same team every game. Only if you friends are in your clan, it's just something for level 30+ players. For more info use /clan for more info.

Clans is a group of people who join together to team up. When they team up its a from of guild/clan how ever you think of it. When in a clan you get the prefix and it's pretty cool.
You'll always be in the same clan.
You can earn rankings in the clan if it's really popular and get some rep there. You will always be on the same team as your clan mates.
You should join one! Their awesome!

 

When you are in a clan and there is also a fellow clan member on you are guaranteed to be always on the same team in CTF and TDM. Also it is nice to be in a clan as you can be in a community with friends or people who have similar skills.
