MSR or Barret

Interesting argument. In CSGO, people who are bad shots prefer the auto-sniper where-as the good shots prefer the AWP. Although this isn't CSGO, the same concept applies. The MSR being close to the auto-snipe is used by people who aren't always sure they are going to make their shot where-as the people using the barret have a higher confidence they are going to hit their target.

 

Barret can one shot full irons to 3/4 diamonds, so I'm sticking with the Barret, I don't mind using them in a combo

 

Yeah the Barret can one shot players up to full iron. I would say Barret.

 

Barret has better damage.

 

I choose Barret not just because it has higher damage but because a weapon of mass destruction when combo'd with correctly.

 

If anything, I would have chosen the two of them. An MSR-Barret combo is quite nice. But between the both, I would chose the Barret. Much better damage, even if the firerate is obliterated by the MSR's.

 

Barrett all the way baby, even though i sometimes keep a Msr on me to combo with. :}

 

The only reason I like Barrett more is because it's an almost reliable one shot kill.

Just so you know, the only time the barrett can one shot is when your armor bars are below 9, anything above 9 armor bars cannot be a one shot.

All diamond excluding chestplate = 9 bars (not a one shot)
Chestplate + any other peice = not a one shot

any other combination can be a one shot (legs and boots, boots and helmet ect)

 

id take barret becuse insta kill full irons and 3/4 ds and i personaly think its cooler that msr but barret is hard to find

MSR can be good, if you know how to use it well, but I have to say barret is definitely better. Yesterday I killed a full iron and a full iron with a diamond chestplate with MSR and they both had Barrets. But the key with MSR is to keep moving, I killed them both because I got double head shots on them, I only got hit by a body shot once. If you and your opponent have the same armor and you're both standing still, obviously the person with barret will come out on top, they can one-shot headshot. But with the MSR's fire rate, you can afford to jump around and miss a few shots.

But if you're using MSR to combo, be sure to get a headshot. I've killed two full diamonds with MSR-Spas12, it's very effective

 

Not true. You can one shot 3/4 diamond. its just very rare. ive done it 3/4 times.

 

I very well agree, I don't hate the MSR but I do look more upon the barrett than the MSR due to the fact that I am used to it, others have their own opinions. Reasons I choose Barrett over MSR:

- It deals more damage
- It has a constant and steady speed
- I am used to the weapon

Not the best reasons but they are my own decisions and what I am used to.

 

Meanwhile the Barret can OSK 3/4 diamonds... Big difference kinda
