Help perfect our curse filter (Sensitive content)

you could also do a multilanguage censoring...
for instance censoring dutch curse words (i see many of them getting used)
but we need to look at the offensiveness of the word first (for instance in dutch kont (butt) is not that offensive... however aars (ass) can be seen very offensive)

In my personal opinion, we don't really need a strong chat filter. Just something to bleep out some of the stronger words people spit out when they die. But if someone wants to spam-insult someone, they'll find a way, chat filter or no. And that's what moderators are for. I'm not saying we should get rid of it, I'm just saying we don't really need to go over the top with the filter.

Now, most of the list is fine. I know that you are mainly interested in adding words to the lists, but there are several words that shouldn't be on it. These are words that aren't curse words, but bad things or bad people. DDOS, SWAT, Hitler, and DOX are the words I'm referring to. If were gonna go on blocking words like this, you might as well block out murder, Osama Bin Laden, Stalin, genocide, slavery, etc. And that list could go on forever. Two of those are also 4 letter words. So if I said, "I'm going to **** you", is that a DDOS threat, or am I just mad? You can't really tell. And that can make moderating harder sometimes.

Also, a couple other words I feel are unnecessary. Bastard (not really that strong), fk (it's kinds short to block out, it can easily be an abbreviation for something else).
I'd also like to bring up that eZ was blocked earlier. I don't know if it still is because it's not on the list, but bleeping that one is just ridiculous. I could just say easy instead, and obviously that's not going to be blocked. So just don't.

There are some words I would like to suggest adding however, and this is probably the part you're interested in. Douchebag is a pretty common one. There are also several more words that contain ass, including but not limited to, assface, asscock, asscracker, assbag, asswipe, assclown, and more that you might want to look up.

 

one word that is EXTREMELY offensive in dutch is the word: kanker( english: cancer)
this word is often used and can be considered one of the most offensive dutch words.
as far as other dutch curse words concern... many of the dutch words sound simular to english or are even the same.

What if the chat filter doesn't apply to moderators? By that I mean that moderators can see through the filter so they know whether someone's saying 'I'm gonna **** you' or 'I'm gonna ddos you' so they can know whether to report the player or not.
