PERP on the Gmod Server

PERP - (Pulsar Effect Roleplay) - (Most rad thing I've ever played)
For the love of god, a PERP server would be SUPER RAD. I've wanted to see this in Minecraft for a long time, as I'm sure other PERP players would as well. This has not yet been done in Minecraft to my knowledge, unlike things like death run and prop hunt, which have been done to death. (although still fun games, nonetheless.) This would definitely be a (much needed) first for any Minecraft server, and with the expansive, ambitious and creative community we have here, I have no doubt we could totally pull it off with some hard work and contribution by map makers, coders, and just general ideas from the community and other PERP players. (I've already posted this on the Gmod section, but that section doesn't current get alot of traffic so I thought I'd put it here to share the idea)

For those of you who don't know what PERP is, I'll try to give a very basic rundown:
PERP, also known as Pulsar Effect Role Play is almost like a very improved DarkRP. The whole basis of this gamemode is to live your life in the city, either to be a crime lord and conduct raids on others or be with the men in blue and help bring others to justice. You can grow drugs, sell drugs, use drugs, rob banks, bust punks as the cops, create organizations, raid other organizations, craft guns, sell crafted guns, build furniture, buy houses, gamble, throw molotovs, blow sh!t up, become a fireman, become a paramedic, run for mayor, protect the mayor as the Secret Service, kidnap the mayor for ransom, and just awesome roleplay in general. (There is also a wide selection of cars, and customization for them, but I wouldn't expect anyone to want to code the nightmare that would bring to the table.)

The PERP map is infact, rather large, (Not like DayZ large, but probably the size of an FPS-HG map, just to give you an idea, if you haven't seen it) but with the massive creative community on this server, and the creative nature of minecraft itself, the task would actually be rather easy, and quite fun for anyone who would be down to build this. (Hell, I would do it myself if I had to.) Keep in mind, we could also easily expand on the current PERP map if we wanted to as well, and we could also easily add more little details as well.

Gameplay Mechanics
I do believe that most of the core gameplay mechanics of PERP could be quite easily transferred to minecraft.
-Vendors and shops are already a widely used thing in Minecraft.
-Guns are already coded on many Brawl Servers.
-Crafting is a core mechanic of minecraft to begin with.
-Cars could be replaced with horses, quite easily.
-Currency system with ATMs and such: wouldn't be much of a challenge to figure out.
-Jobs would most likely be the hardest thing to code and figure out, although definitely possible and totally do-able.
-Drugs could simply be re-textured crops and sold to a villager drug dealer.

Vast apologies if I've missed anything important, however; if the community takes interest in this idea, I could prepare a more expansive rundown of what would need to be done to get this together, as a PERP player with hundreds of hours of my life wasted on it.

Sincerely, some dude with a huge boner for PERP, and someone who's wanted to see this done for quite a long time. If you don't know what PERP is and how it works, I'd suggest watching some videos, or better yet, hopping onto PERP with some friends like I did and have fun with one of the coolest game modes I've ever played. And I have no doubt that if this community has recreated DayZ, CoD, Counterstrike, GMOD murder and Mario Party so well; PERP can, and should be done.

Good idea? Yes No? Maybe?

Like I said, it would definitely be a task, but would definitely be worth it, as it seems every single HUB server on MC now has both prop hunt and TTT or something like that, although I don't believe PERP yet exists on Minecraft, achieving this would be totally monumental.

 

That sounds totally ****ing awesome. I'm sure the community would be down to help with this too, I know I would.
