    Today is a big day! It's the first anniversary of the announcement of "MC-War 2.0" by chickenputty. One year ago chickenputty announced "MC-War 2.0 Update" in this devolpment log.
    Since then we have been waiting really patient for the awesome update, which was started by orange and now after over 1 year of development, muliple hard debug phases, one public beta testing phase on test.mc-war.com and a whole team working on the biggest MC-War update ever, it's continued by new and great coders like Mario, Myortvye and killer_99 .
    But while they were working day and night to give us the best CoD in Minecraft experience the community was strong and waited with amazing patience. The commtunity didn't spam the forums with useless "When is the ETA of the Update?"-threads and wasn't angry that instead of Mc-War 2.0 there were 4 new minigame servers released, because they new that this is only in favor of the Update. Instead the community created new amazing and detailed maps for Mc-war, which only the few and best were accepted of, and also did new and well-designed suggestion and ideas for the Update!
    The community could also celebrate the namechange of the Multiplayerserver to McBrawl and the great achievements of the top Mc-War players. But sadly at the same time we lost a lot of nice and friedly forum members, players, mods, admins and coders. One of them was orange. He started Mc-War and Mc-War 2.0. Now it's time to continue his work...

    What great events, changes, updates, maps and people do you remember from this year of waiting?

    I hadnt even joined when this update was announced and I am now level 66 aaaand I had a 6 Month break. But as always: mcBrawl defenition of "soon" is the same as my parents. Not quite the same as the rest of the world defines "Soon" as.

    I remember Orange and Putty telling us it would be out by christmas. Oh how disappointing that was. Anyone else remember the test server?

    Mc-war 2.0 would have come a lot sooner if Orange didn't get relief or something. So killer_99 came in and did totally from scratch. He I even doing the gunsplus plugin all over again. This is why it is taking so long, but it will finally pay off!

    Orange starts coding
    Putty announces it
    Orange's computer got corrupted
    Orange is upset of his work(?) He once posted that(coverup?)
    Orange left for TF2-CS-Other Steam game (why?)
    Killer_99 is coding War.

    i remember when some maps like stormfront came out... and the time when the smgs came out ^.^ good times it were when that happened. anyway... i wonder when it will happen. i hope it is on a 1st (of the month :V )

    I remember when orange451 got on server 1 and updated the server, it was the 2.0 but it was super laggy with a ton of bugs making almost all the new updates not work, orange then cancelled everything and reverted the server back to normal.

    Some admin (I forget which) said that somebody told Orange there's no way the update will live up to expectations, which he then took as a challenge.
    I believe the official reason for Orange not coding right now is college/irl stuff.
    Good news is the recode should mean post-War 2.0 updates should be much easier to create, without a year-long wait for the next one.

    Turns out the "huge update" was just SMGs and a chat update, as well as even more unfixed bugs.
    Welp, at least 2.0 is soon to come, with a confirmed release time frame from Myort.
