We really need to do something.

I'm going to be completely honest here, most people who leave the community are great people, but are leaving for absolutely no reason. So what if the community has "gone to ****" in your POV? Take a break from minecraft or go outside. In my eyes, there is really no reason to get sympathetic over a block game, if you're going to leave the community don't make drama over it, just leave.

 

The good come and go, as well as the bad. As of the good, there is not much other than large amounts of convincing that may keep them here. The bad are much easier to get rid of, but some ways are not the best ways to deal with him.
People already try, and it's very pleasing to see it. Usually it is easier to just let something go and ignore it. Hence /war chat.
You bring up good points. Sometimes you may stop a fire by burning its fuel before it may reach it. Leaving it with nothing to burn, it dies out. So if you encounter a flame war, just talk some reason into them. It's a game, why get angry? It is easy to get whatever you lost again. And of course, mods will more than likely be available ('cause that hot global mod swag) so contact them whenever things get "heated". Puns galore.

 

We're working on getting a better community at the moment, there's now a global chat plugin that disallows players to write sentences with 5+ capitals. Also, many rude words are now showing of with '*'. We need to continue this and make the community a lot more nicer. In my opinion, we need to get things from the old chat plugin back. So that your chat messages doesn't show up with '*', but you're just not allowed to enter the message. If this will be implemented, I think it will give an extra boost for cleaning up the chat.

 

The best way to counter the bad side of the community is to make sure you don't stoop to their level. As long as there are mature members, then the wise people will look up to them.

 

Then cling onto those people. Friends them on the Hub, play with them and take no notice of the immature people. If you can, play on servers with mods on, and do your best to help out

 

The forum is always been protected from any hate from any member on it. I mean I probably spent like 40 min on Server 1 of mc-war and it was more pleasant conversations between players than insult really.

I agree with you but there's really no point in making threads about this anymore. I remember tons of people making tons of threads about how the community has changed and become what it is now but everyones kind of getting bored with threads with repeated things in them. If someone is noob calling or whatever the kind, say
"stop."
"thats rude don't say that"
and if they say
"ohhmagerrhdd are you mod? NO!"
Then reply with
"You don't have to be mod to enforce the rules"
And if they say that noob calling and such isn't against the rules well... Just laugh and send them this link

So they are breaking a rule because noob calling and being rude to people is not technically respecting.
Or you can do /war chat and just completely ignore them. But I kind of think enough is enough with these threads, we know the community isn't as good as it was before but threads like this most often exaggerate, these sort of threads also put of new comers to the servers in a way. If they make a forums account and read this thread they'd probably think oh I'm not going on a server like this.<This is rare but its not impossible. So how about we kind of stop making the server look like its realllllyyyy bad and look on the positive sides of things. You need to enjoy the little things on the server while it lasts. Everything bad will be overcome some day so theres no point dragging on about it.

I tried to deal with the "bad" people who advertised, glitched, or broke a rule, but for some reason my computer didn't want to load up the page to put the proof in so the report was just useless. I've finally managed to fix the problem and now trying to get rid of all the "bad" people. Learning from my mistakes as a new player not knowing the rules. Now I'm starting to catch the rule breakers and taking them out of the game.

 

Oh another one of these threads. If some kid is being an ass, /block 'em. Once you block all the asses, you can play with your friends with0ut any problems.

 

I didn't leave the community for no reason. I left because I don't see any reason to play on the server anymore nor do I even bother making videos of the server. Although most of my subscribers only watch my videos for my Funny Moments, I'm not 100% McWar so I did try to add a large variety of games to show. However, most of my subs do not appreciate Osu videos which lead to my departure from MPS.

 

Most people though, have no reason, or at least not a good one. Most of them are just leaving because of the dumb community or something like DDoS. If it were something like IRL obstacles or school, I would understand, but there is no need to cry about the community/DDoS.
