This thread is going to be a lot like my other opinion thread found here. Let's get started.

Hit Detection: I'm going to be honest here, the hit detection on PvP Survival is absolute crap. You have to be literally 2 blocks in front/behind a person to get a hit off on them. This is especially annoying with people that go around spawn holding a stone sword and attacking you in swarms, breaking your armor, meanwhile you can do nothing about it because you can only hit them a few blocks away. The hit detection gets even more annoying when you're pvping in iron/diamond at spawn, a fire aspect sword is your best bet to get hits off on someone, because it slows them down to where you can hit them. I don't know if a lot of people have this problem or not, but some of the members in my team have it, and it is extremely annoying. I don't think having ~108 ms gives you these types of problems, making me believe that maybe it's the server host. So basically, ping > skill.

Teams: OK, let's be honest here. There are probably only 5 or so good teams on PvP Survival. All the other people are just new players going around punching people at spawn, and people going out a few hundred blocks away from spawn and then getting raided the next day. This leads to all the good teams getting raids often and making the player count on the server drop. The 5 or so good teams also often get into tracking wars, making the server a bit fun, but then your team is most likely going to get called for hacks. When this happens, the server turns into WarZ for a little while.

Nether and End: The end is basically a wasteland, you shouldn't even bother going there. The nether on the other hand, is mostly dug out of its glowstone and quartz, unless you travel really far out, which is a pain. The nether can also be really useful, if you do manage to travel out really far, you get the reward of not being x-rayed. The nether is a great place to put your base/vault because of all the lava - making your base more hidden, and because hackers typically don't travel to the nether to x-ray/hack. Even if they do travel into the nether, you can counter them by going out really far and by using lava to cover your base, anti-x-ray, ftw.

The community: I have to say, PvP Survival's community/players is a lot better than War's/WarZ's. Half the time, the chat is mostly:
    • Someone saying gg/gf after a 1v1.
    • Mods helping players with problems.
    • Players communicating without /t c.
    • Hackusations, (rare).
PvP Survival definitely exceeds War's/WarZ's, community, imo. On PvP Survival there isn't anyone saying "<gun name here> noob" or "gg rec", making the atmosphere a lot more peaceful and chill.

This is all I have to say, if you got to the end of this, you deserve a cookie. Leave your opinions if you'd like.

I have to agree with most of the topics you stated except for one. There is no good place to make your vault. My old vault had cords of roughly 500 900 in the nether under a lava pool. The players so happened to mine an almost perfectly centered hole in the roof to raid my vault. Please don't say "you got tracked" because I never went there on my main account and when I did go there it was for 20 seconds or less. If you want to make an almost impossible to find vault go deep into the nether. build a like 6x6 vault out of dispensers, then fill it all up so there are no spaces for xrayers to see. Another side note, never build above ground bases. You can see an example of what happened to one in chopo's post.

Yes, I honestly love the PvP Survival community. Everyone pretty much knows each other, is pretty friendly for the most part, and pretty helpful when needed. I also love to see it when players help other players rather than mods doing it all. Except for the occasional flame wars that happen like once every other day, Survival is pretty chill.

Also, on the base raiding/teams rant. I have to counter that argument with the fact that some teams actually do go quite far from spawn and play the server like it was meant to be played. I just found a base about 10k blocks from spawn with farms, houses, diamonds, minerals, etc. I think the correct term is that there are the main, outgoing teams. Then there are the boxing, I guess "noobish" teams? And then there are the teams that basically go undercover, making farms, armor, etc.

There probably are a lot of teams out there waiting for their rise in power.
The problem is they will hit hard and fast, and we won't be able to track them until we know who they are.

I can assure you that there is more than 5 good players, all the players at spawn you see in full d are not the true good players. It's easy to get 27 dia and pay a few bucks to look cool but I'm sure none if them as a nearly intact Sharp V dia sword called: " the god sword " I for instance have been playing from the first day, I joined team Magic, we were the first to get raided on the servers :v We moved bases several times but always get raided so then I joined Riot which was called Love in the beggining ( :stuck_out_tongue: ). For my part I consider myself one of the greats, not in tracking but in tactical fighting. I like to ambush players or trick them to go out and find themselves agaisn't 3 players. Today there is no point in fighting full d who pack in group, I used to have fun now I don't.

I do believe most of these things are true, however the reason that there is only 5 good teams is because they recruit people before those people can make new teams, basically there just a step ahead.

Most of the "big" teams on the server do not recruit new people at all. 3 out of the top 4 teams have not had any new members in months. I included have not allowed any new members since the beginning of the summer and will probably never invite any new members.

I agree with you on almost all aspects. The hit detection is pretty bad and I have usually around 85 ping. This could use a little bit of an improvement if its possible. However, I think that there is a lot of potential on this server. There could be teams that are out there making a good base and gathering gear that nobody knows about because they don't PvP often. I know this was the way my brother and I were when we first started, we didn't go to spawn and PvP until we each had at least 2 Prot IV sets. As for the Nether and End I agree, the End needs a reset and the Nether is a great spot for a vault/ base. I love the PvP community, it is always so friendly and nice. :grinning:

Hit detection on this server sucks too hard.
    All the time I get wrecked by like 5 blocks and I have to be 1 block away to hit them ;-;
