When the EULA is released maybe 1.8?

I hear on the 9.2.14 comes the eula out.

 

Says who? The EULA applies for all of Minecraft... Why does this make you exempt? Explain please.

1.7.10 is the update that forces you to comply to the EULA. On August 1st they began to ENFORCE the EULA.

If you update your server to 1.7.10, there is a field in the server properties file that forces you to agree to the EULA. All the other server updates, do not. That is the allibi.

 

Mojang never said anything about that. It says ALL servers must comply. Not only the 1.7.10+ servers. 1.7.10 is just the update that makes sure that you are complying.

Now this i do not agree with, in the mojang Q&A it says NO server are exempt of following the EULA, it says nothing about the version of the server.

Edit: Though now that i read your recent link, it looks as if we found a loop hole, thought it DOES say single player, and not Multiplayer

As I just said, that update is only there to make sure that you agree to the terms. Every update above 1.7.9 will have the eula.txt in your server config, that doesn't mean if you don't have the eula.txt you don't need to comply.

 

That's like having a pointless file there then. You already agreed to the EULA when you signed up for minecraft. Why have a file there for no reason? The file is there to make sure that your server agrees to it. Because your server never agreed to the EULA.

 

@Mario can u tell us when you guys are going to 1.8 so then we can buy as much donor as we can cause ima buy like 2 years worth cause I'm addicted to this game

 

When a full working of 1.8 version is released we will try our best to update everything to cope with 1.8. As for how long this will take? We are not 100% sure.

It legitimately says "No server is exempt from the EULA."

And Mario says "We never agreed to the EULA".
