bow buff

I personally don't like these ideas, but others might. IMO, it shouldn't be as OP as Mc-War's c-bow, that's for sure, but it definitely needs a buff.

 

I thought this was in mc-war for a second, you wouldn't believe my face.

 

I was going to make a post tommorow but I'll say it here and you might want to use it. I call it the X-Bow.

X-Bow:
Range: without pulling goes 20 blocks, when max pulled sends 50-60 blocks.
Arrow: Arrow moves straight without a curve.
Clip: Unlimited, but says your amount of ammo.
Fire Rate: It takes 1 tick every shot to shoot again.
Damage: Same as a regular bow, maybe 1/2 hearts more so it's more even.

Hunter Changes with this:
Ammo: Only 16/32 instead of 64.

Honestly I think this is a good idea.

 

I'm going to be honest, who really uses the bow? When theres tier 3/4/5 guns I don't know anyone who likes to use the bow. It does need a buff but it would be pointless because people choose the easier way out of things. I personally wouldn't use the bow against even a famas. I don't even think we should have a bow in fpshg...

 

This is why a buff of some sort is needed. We have a kit with it. Honestly we all think the bow is pointless right now because it doesn't do much and it's harder to use.

 

Right, but even if it had the worlds biggest buff it would still be easier to kill someone with a famas. Especially in longer distances.

 

Explosive tipped crossbolts is a good idea. To balance this out, there would need to be a delay between each shot like it was reloading as to act like its irl counterpart.

I'm thinking something like this for each tier of armor (arrow and explosive damage merged):

• 8.5 hearts of damage per bolt against a full leather.
• 7.5 hearts of damage per bolt against a full gold or chain.
• 6.5 hearts of damage per bolt against a full iron.
• 5.5 hearts of damage per bolt against a full diamond.

Remember that the crossbolt deals so much damage because there would be a couple second delay between each shot. That and the bow kit costing a lot more credits than most of the kits.

 

Maybe if it killed in one hit (no armor and half leather), but had a slow moving arrow, it could be more of a viable weapon.

 

I think it's fine as it is...
Just make the bow stronger...
1 Heart per arrow is literally nothing...
Make it 4 hearts per arrow no explosions or multiple shots and it'll be fine...

 

I actually really liked the idea of the bow. But because it heard it wasn't worth it I never came around of using it. When the bow gets a buff you'll see that people will use it again.

And also. Hunger games = Katniss Everdeen = Freaking bow skills!

 

It's very rare to see someone use a bow. Usually because it is such a meager and useless weapon compared to all the other things available. But honestly, I think that should be enough to add a little something to it.
A buff to it may do its popularity plenty of good. But I think it should still exist, since this server is based off of Hunger Games but 10x more modern and everyone volunteers.

 

I would say make it a normal bow, but with higher damage. Or make it an actually crossbow, were you have to fire and reload a bolt. No drawback involved, simply click and shoot.
