Currently, there's no way to tell who's a trial mod and who's a global mod. This can be painstaking for users who are flaming on the Mcbrawl servers with no specific mods for that server. If a new member comes on and asks a trial mod to help calm a flame war on Minestrike, Mc-Murder, or Kitbrawl, they can't do that and will tell the new member that they don't have the perms to settle things in chat. By that time, the flame war will have already gotten out of hand.

My proposition is to have a 2nd tag for a trial mod (below their server tag) that says "Trial". This tag only applies to the forum because it's relatively easy to tell the difference from a trial and global mod in-game. If you're contradicting this idea because you can determine global from trial through in-game, think again. There's 3 benefits to this idea. The only con is the admins have to do more work.
    1. A new member who could solely play Minestrike, Kitbrawl, or Mc-Murder might need to signal a mod on. If they accidentally signal the wrong mod, then the problems in chat can continue. This is the reason for the trial tag, to make it easier to determine mods.
    2. Having a trial tag allows users on the forum to immediately know if a trial mod was promoted to global position. When their 2nd tag disappears, that's the signal for when they've been promoted.
    3. Having a global mod on MS, Kitbrawl, or Murder instead of a trial mod; some players feel like they're being monitored, and will stop spam/flaming the chat in fear of being punished.
This is what the tag color would be. I decided to choose something simple.

    Installation (for admins)
This tag can easily be added. Assuming the admins have setup two user groups in the Admin Control Panel (ACP), they can have the trial user group have the trial tag. When the admin promotes the trial mod, they simply go to their profile in the ACP and switch the user's primary user group from trial to global. Obviously, the global mod user group doesn't have this trial tag in the user settings. Btw, both user groups have the same forum permissions.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS
To close this idea off, I seriously hope you consider adding this. I spent a lot of time thinking this idea up. Of course, I know most forum members will simply skim read this idea, miss an important detail, and try to make a counter argument to my idea. :V

I support this idea because F1r3tar said so in a conversation.

Sounds like a good idea. And will help the new people to find the right mod. (Or they don't know what trial means )

I'm confused by my own also. Being a trial mod you can feel left out. People will take you less seriously if its quite obvious you're a trial mod.

Not really. A trial mod still has the same permissions as a global mod, only a global getting to be mod on all servers. If there's flame breaking down on one of the moderated servers, a trial whose job is to moderate that server will have the purple tag next to their name. Therefore, other players will see them as a regular mod and be more worried of breaking rules. If someone isn't taking them seriously, then the trial mod can give them a temp-ban as punishment for disrespect.

Btw, my original intention on this idea was to know when a trial became a global. The 1st benefit was just an idea that popped into mind while typing the OP.
