Mc-War Moderation Problems

I dont think that this is happening to all of us. Some people are not very nice, but I dont see a real problem with this...

 

The reason why I am mostly only playing on server 1 is because there is only a few times there is a moderator online, and there is a lot of ragers on it. Server 1 has around 60 players on at the same time, so I believe it's important to have a moderator there.

 

Thats what we are doing. Mc-War #1 always has the most players so its our first choice, if there is already a mod on I atleast usually go to 2 or 9 cause those are the other popular war servers.

The 2Mods1Server rule has already been invented like a year ago. The rule simply says there shouldn't be 2 mods on the same server.

 

It would be way to complicated to make those plans. I am, for example, also pvp survival mod, so I should also be on there. And if I have a lot of homework on one day, I might not be able to get those 90 minutes. Or Im on vacations. Or I visit my grandparents for one day.

It would be impossible for a admin to keep track of every staff member and what problems the might have with the time they have to spend on their server.

Oh, and I don't see why trials should spend less time on their server. Especially as trial you need to get experience with moderating and show the admins that you fit the position.

 

I honestly don't see any problem here. As long as the mc-war moderators follow the 2mods1server rules, everything should be perfectly fine. I know that there isn't many moderators from my time zone, so it will be hard for me to be many hours online on every server each day...

 

The thing is that mods need to roam more. When I am playing on war, I'll play a few rounds on one server, them I'll hop to another one. This is something the staff need to do as well.

 

Please understand that we could use some help from others mods, trial mods may need a GMod's help on a MC-War server. We also like to play with each other at times, I hop from server to server and always find rule breakers. We don't all have the same time zones, in fact I might be one out of two MC-War mods with the CST time zone.

We try our best however we also like to have fun with each other, just because two or three mods are on the same server doesn't mean their not trying to have fun. I play for two hours going from servers 1-5 , take a break for about two hours and come back online and play for another two hours going from servers 6-12. On top of that we need to be on the forums and TS3 at the same time.

Yeah, if someone told you to get a life it would be mean right?
I mean, I agreed with the points you made about under moderation, but you weren't totally justified as shown in your account of that argument or whatever. If anything you were provoking him.

I would apply as mod because I'm very active and good at moderating. The only problem is that I can't really get TS3 to work..Other than that I would always try to keep someone calmed down or try to keep them from breaking a rule.

 

This is a great post. I think that they should be auto kicked if they say 'OMFG HACKER' OR 'REPORTED' Repetitively.

This is a ****ING HUGE ISSUE. And noone gives a crap except for the old time players and some of the new good guys such as @JakeXBL and others...
The more new players come on... The worse it gets... I say we should just tighten the chat moderator.
To have it kick people when they say HACKER or whatever... (if this actually gets considered, which it won't because it's a stupid idea, then we can consider exact phrases).

TLDR:
This is an issue and it feels like noone cares...
McWar is self destructing and that's why the only players worth **** (for the most part) have left...

 

I see this is becoming quite a big problem now. I will try to spend some hours on the first 3 servers to make sure the chat is clean. Most of the time you'll think the mod isn't warning people but this is mostly because we Msg them to make sure we won't have any further flames.

If you ever see someone cursing/talking trash about people etc. Just give me a msg and I will get on.

 

@Zippy999 all mods try there best when it comes to moderating the servers. But remember not all mods are on at once so not all servers will have a mod on it. If you have a problem with a player you could report that player to it's clan owner.

They are pointless and there already have been 476729574827 of these already.
They're working their hardest for gods sake, and you can't go off kicking people for saying "Iso noob" or whatever.
Besides, most of the worst rule breakers are, in fact, on server 1 and 2.
