    I really want spectating cause when i or my friends die we would watch over them i think it is really important and should be add

    This is added, but only for Moderators+ so they can look for rule breakers. I don't think something like this is really needed, and most people would prefer to just hop into another round.

    there are some plus sides and down sides for this
    plus side= people can look for rule breakers to report.
    down side= people can tell their friends if enemies are coming
    +0 as it is even

    Perfectly adressed above. Simply, if we allowed spectating for normal members, it would be very easy for them to advise their friends on incoming enemies or nearby loot which they may not have noticed normally.

    The only reason moderators have access to spectate after death is so that they can continue to effectively moderate the server until it restarts.

    Why won't we use the new gamemode implemented in 1.8? The one where you can spectate other people, so you basically see the same thing as them. This way they can't tell for nearby players and/or loot.

    When invisible, you still have the ability to "shot block" players. As of now, there is no way to prevent this. Another reason we don't do this is because of the ghosting issue.

    Guess we'll have to wait for 1.8 to see if that's added.

    Spectating players would still be able to warn / help other players if they are in a call. It's the best as it is now.

    They would be seeing the exact same thing as that player is seeing.

    Another main reason this shouldn't be added is simply for the fact that after some players die, they have tendencies to rage. Having players kicked to the hub makes it easier for all of us fpsHG Mods.

    Maybe while spectating their ability to chat and use of creative will be disabled. Also the player spectating would not be able to hit a player.

    The compass already does that. :V

    Simply add a plugin that auto kicks them if they shotblock.

    Until we finish a new gun plugin (aka War 2.0 gun plugin) which would support projectiles going through teammates / invisible players, we have no intention of adding spectating to the game.

    After this is finished (as it is currently in development), I will add spectating on the condition that you have to follow a specific player very closely to prevent ghosting.

    Because unless projectiles move through players with the spectator game-mode, we'll still be facing the same issue. Should the spectator game-mode have support for this, I will definitely look into updating fpsHG to accommodate spectating.

    During spectating mode (for Mods+) They are basically shifted into Creative mode

    This is why Myort can spam me with snowballs while I'm running from him and he's laughing maniacally in his chair...

    If we gave that to every player, it would be nuts...
    Too much abuse...

    If we wanted you guys to spectate Myort would have to program a whole thing for spectating, which is very glitchy for the mods, so it would be hell to program it for players...

    Yes I get where atom are coming from... But can't you turn chat off for spectator mode and have a limit of the height?
