Forum Global Mod abilities

Well recently as you may know, they re-instituted the global mod rank, otherwise known as a Fully-Accepted moderator. This means that they receive the Mod rank on all McBrawl servers. So why not on the forums?

The idea I am suggesting would grant Global Mods or Fully-Accepted Mods permissions in all server sub forums.

If they can moderate all the servers, then they should have moderator abilities in all the server sub forums.

This would include:

• The ability to lock and unlock any thread in all server sub forums.
• The ability to move any thread within the server sub forums. (Ex: War Discussion to WarZ Server Ideas)

This would exclude:

• The ability to lock, unlock and move threads in the General and Other sub forums.

One other alternative to this, could be just to give the Global Mods the same exact permissions as the old Global Mod rank used to have on the forums, which wasn't much different from what I suggested above. This would be a little harder for the admins to trust players with because if I recall correctly, this came with abilities in the General and Other section. But I see no problem with instituting the first suggestion.

 

In a way, you are right. But just because someone is a War Mod, doesn't mean they know nothing about the other servers. The main benefit from this is giving people the ability in Murder, MineStrike and KitBrawl forums, without having to make an entire new staff position. That is probably part of the reason they made the GMod system back, so they could have mods on servers, without having its own actual rank.
