Figured I would put a list of what my absolute favoite games are. Hopefully you guys will do the same. It is in a way, a means of getting to know people better, which is always a good thing.

Remember, at least for me, this is not a list that reflects best games. The choices I make are far from from perfect, but resonate in a way unparalleled by other games. I also try to pick games from only one series to preserve variey.

    1.
Waow, ollie cheats and puts two choices at #1. But really, both games on this spot deserve it for their own reasons. I honestly cannot pick one over the other, since both are special to me in different ways. Wind Waker veing my absolute favorite adventure game. It is far from perfect. There are pretty glaring flaws (THAT CAN'T EVEN BE JUSTIFIED IN THE HD VERSION), but I digress. Nothing in my life has ever made me feel as good as this game. And I think it is obvious why. It has a verybmagical feel to it. One that is achieved by extreme dedication, genius and talent. You'll have to simply play the original to find out what I mean.
    &
Sharing my #1 slot is one of the few games here I consider to be "perfect". This takes #1 because it was the first game I have ever fully completed. At 3 years old. Anyone who has beaten this game knows how difficult of a game it can be to get everything in, let alone beat. Especially for someone who was young as I was back then. The amount of variey and charm ghat went into this game is so great that I still play ROM hacks of this game to this day.
    2.
Ho boy, talking about one of these games. This, simply put, is my first memory of even living, so it is pretty special to me. Smash will always be close to my heart. And I'm one of those stubborn people who still say Melle is the best Smash. Let me get this clear, I played this game to death until Brawl came out, then played that game's terrible online until it was hut down, so I have gotten my several thousand hour's worth of each smash. I still think Melee has the better gameplay.

Keep in mind, that the Smash Bros. series in't necesarily a fighting game, but more of a party game, and I completley see that. With friends, it is a very fun game to play non-seriously. But having played Smash immensly forever, I am in love with the competitive community. Sakurai himself has admitted that Brawl was itwnded to be more casal, and that in itself is a good decision, but it had a great affect on gameplay. Combat was much slower and heavily relied on tripping air dodging. Melee had much faster combat, and aside from combat bugs that aided in competitive play, the fightin in that game was the most satisfying when it became heated. It is why I love wathing Melee tournaments. It is extreme button-mashing at its finest, but so amazing to watch and play.
    3.
Ooohh, another series I can get ranty about. I seriously hope people have played a Papaer Mario game, since the series is about as close to me as Smash. Simply put, I've been playing Paper Mario games sinc they have been released, and none has been as fantasti as TTYD. Just comparing the first two, Paper Mario, while aging quite well, has really not stood up as well as TTYD. It is pretty much the original, but improving in every single way. This was so exciting to me when I was six. Paper Mario games stand out to me because of one thing in games I absolutley adore when done great: text. I give the NoA translation team huge props for making the text so enjoyable (even though you had to change Vivian). There is so much creativity that went into these levels that I haven't seen in recent years that wowed me as much as here. I don't really want to get into the series itself... I really do get irked if I do try to talk about the series. I digress, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door might just be my favorite RPG.
    4.
One of those games that nobody you know plays, but only knows because of some other, more popular game. I could not recommend a better SNES RPG. It goes up with Chrono Trigger and FF VI. For those who don't know, EarthBound was one of a three game series that was released outside of Japan. It's uniqueness comes from how extremely quirky it is. Really. As I said before; I love text-heavy RPGs, and EarhBound doesn't disappoint. All of the characters and situations are ridiculous and out there. I don't really want I get too much into it, since it really is an adventure you should experience for yourself, but if you love self-aware (of it's tropes), non-sensical and thought-provoking situations, really do gig it a try. Maybe you'll appreciate playing Ness a whole lot more.
    5.
The only rouge like game on this list. I was never introduced to this sub genre of games before this, so starting out with Red Rescue Team was a new experience for me. Basically, all you do is explore randomly generated dungeons and fight different Pokémon. The only real reason I would ever recommend these games to people would be for, again an appealing factor to me, characters and writing. This is another one of those games where the translation team has done a phenomenal job making the text as interesting as possible because seriously, half of the gameplay is reading text in this series. I don't want to give too much away, but these games do a great job of immersing yourself as a Pokémon within the world. Another factor is the music. I don't know how, but the hundreds of songs in this game will forever be stuck in my head due to the time spent listening to them, and how they never seem to get stale. There are literally dozens of tunes to count that the OST is a behemoth worth checking out. The only reason I'm picking this version is because it is the definitive version of the second game, which I feel has the better story, with several tear-jerkers included.
    6.
The game my avatar is based on. (As of September 5, 2014. It is a free game developed solely by one man. That alone is an impressive feat. All the graphics, music, story, all out of one mind. That is the sign of talent. Fortunately, all these elements shine brightly in this dim cave-adventure, at the early days of producing "retro-style" games for the sense of nostalgia. Cave Story could easily fit into the 8-16 bit time frame and be considered an all-time classic. It is a side scrolling run-and-gun platformed that perfectly capture what it is trying to achieve: a serious story done in a simplistic looking fashion. Thankfully the story does in fact make this game. Without telling much, it is a well-told story with many me memorable characters with plenty of hidden endings, secrets, weapon, and challenges.
    7. Pokémon: Emerald Version
    8. Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
    9. Fire Emblem (GBA)
    10. VVVVVV

Wow, most of my list contains Nintendo titles. Who would have guessed? I try to pick games that are not too recent (only 1 coming out in the last decade really) and ones that ahave replay value, but are not just endless experiences, such as multiplayer games. Ones with experiences that have truely developed who I am, and am immensly proud of it. I honestly don't really play multiplayer games that much. Other than TF2 (I don't exactly count McBrawl because it really is just Minecraft),I don't play FPS games at all.

Feel free to leave your lists, agree, disagree, all that forum stuff you guys do. I really am interested in seeing what lists people come up with. (and how many will be FPS games)

    1. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
    2. Super Mario Sunshine
    3. Super Smash Bros Melee
    4. Mario Party 7
    5. Sonic Heroes
    6. Kid Icarus Uprising
    7. Sonic Adventure DX
    8. Sin and Punishment Star Successor
    9. Mario Kart Wii
    10. Minecraft

You may notice most of these titles are Gamecube. The reason is that I grew up with this console and the games that I'd play on it gave a lasting impression. I remember finding all the cool bugs in Sunshine by exploring. I remember most of the lines from Sonic Heroes. I remember all the crazy fun matches I had in Mario Party 7. And playing Melee was just amazing. The feeling of unlocking that new character, the rush of getting a new stage. It was crazy. I've pretty much 100% all these games and still go back to play them. Even in the darkest of times, I could always turn towards my trusty console. Excuse any errors as this was written on mobile.

    In no particular order.
    1. Super Mario Bros
    2. Super Smash Bros Melee
    3. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team
    4. Battlefield 2
    5. Battlefield 3
    6. Minecraft
    7. Star Wars Battlefront 2
    8. Mario Kart Wii
    9. Super Smash Bros Brawl
    10. Jump Ultimate Stars
    2 FPS games.

Most of the games here are Nintendo games. Reason is, I pretty much grew up with Nintendo. They' ez always been great game devs, and they're really good overall.
Most of the games are childhood games, although some like Minecraft and BF3 are games that I've picked up more recently.
    My reasoning for each game:
Super Mario Bros will always hold a special place as one of the best games of all time. Although it eventually gets easy to go through and perhaps a little boring, it's great for speed runs and looking back at the innovation that brought the gaming industry back.
Super Smash Bros Melee was admittedly not my first Smash Bros game. That was Brawl. But the balance and strategy in this make the game so fun. It's extremely well done, and in my eyes is the best Smash Bros game of all time, so far.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team was my first Pokémon game that was a spinoff of the main series. And boy, was it fun. It had a lot of good replay value and of course, it was one of my first games. But yeah, the gameplay was unique and fun.
Battlefield 2 was a FPS I picked up a while ago. I actually hated first person shooters before this, because I thought all of them were going to be boring, bland and generic like Call of Duty. BF2 changed my mind. Its tactical gameplay, good balancing, and great gameplay had me. I spent hours with this game, trying the mods out there to enhance the game. Although it's less snappy, it's still a really fun game, and it's probably the game that got me into FPS's.
Battlefield 3, I got free in Origin's promotion sale thing. Although the short campaign was disappointing, the multiplayer more than made up for it. I still haven't completed the game (gotten to level 145 and unlocked everything), but it's still a blast to play. It's a little more like CoD than BF2 was, but it still has that unique gameplay. The new elements introduced make it very unique, and the graphics are beautiful, although they also do make the game harder.
I got Minecraft like 2 or 3 years ago, somewhere around 1.3.2 or 1.4.2. I have to say that 1.4.7 was the best version of MC, and it was kinda blegh from there.
Battlefront 2 was and still is one of my favorite shooters. It was more of an arcade shooter than BF2, but it still had plenty of strategy and its mods made it epic. I played this game for a pretty long time, until EA (f*ck you EA) took down the online servers for it.
Mario Kart Wii was my first Mario Kart game (lol), my second being Super Mario Kart. This game did not disappoint, and still doesn't now. I wish it was HD, but even though it's only 480p the game was still very fun. It was quite a unique game, and its Rainbow Road was my favorite.
Super Smash Bros Brawl may have been unbalanced (looks at Meta Knight and Sonic), but it was still very fun nonetheless. It was my first Smash Bros game, and heck was it fun. It also has a lot of mods for it, enhancing gameplay even more.
Jump Ultimate Stars is a game I picked up more recently. It's not as well known, but basically it's a fighting game for DS, featuring anime characters. It's really fun, and it's got a lot of replay value with the endless battles of single player.

    1. Halo (original, 2, 3, or Reach. Played ever since the original came out.)
    2. Minecraft (About the only game I play anymore)
    2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Played a variety of games besides these, but these were the only ones I ever stuck with.

Uh this is going to kill me to make. There are so many games that are so unique in there own ways, that it is hard to judge them against each other. For, say, list your favorite shooting game, that would be easy. Comparing COD to TF2 is one thing, comparing Pokemon to Halo is something totally different. You have to judge on longevity, gameplay, story, and just having fun playing it. I decided to make my choices 'series' of games. IT will make it easier on me to pick.
*I will not be judging 'party' games, or games that are incredibly fun to play with a lot of people. Mario Party or Kart are good examples. I am judging games that I like to play.

    1. The Halo series. I can not pick one, but I love Halo. It is the first game that I have ever played (2 years old :V), and I own every game except CE and anniversary. The gameplay, the story, and the feel of it is incredible. I never mind sitting down and playing a few games of Halo. I can not say which game I like the best, but I can proudly say the series is my all time favorite video game.
    2. Ratchet and Clank (the older ones). These games were my early childhood in a nutshell. I do not want to even imagine how many times I have beaten/100%ed these games. I can safely say Up Your Arsenal was my favorite.
    3. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. Best story in any Pokemon game, and great gameplay. When playing it at a younger age, it is a very emotional game. I never mind playing it. Also it is my favorite DS game. This game probably will never be topped, it was just that good. If I could live in a game a play out the story, this is the one I would pick. Plus I love how it has the main story, and the post story, with each being very long.
    4. Call of Duty MW and MW2. These games are the best in the series, and are my favorites. No COD game has surpassed how fun they are to play. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with these games. Fantastic stories as well.
    5. The Sonic series. Second series that defined my childhood. Started off with the originals, then I played Heroes (fantastic, why Sega never made a sequel I do not know), after that the Adventure series (2 is my favorite, 1 is next), and then Unleashed. I loved both styles of gameplay with this one, and I really loved the modern Sonic stages. Next time I go to GameStop I think I am going to buy Generations.
    6. TF2. TF2 is just so unique, and it is very different then traditional FPS games. I love every aspect of it. So many different play styles. The SFM's the community makes are awesome as well.
    7. Minecraft. Ok to be honest, I only play minecraft at this point for MC Brawl, friends, or other servers (rare). I never play single player anymore. MC Brawl is fun though, the friends I have made and the experiences I have gone through are unparalleled.
    8. The Patapon series. Completely forgot about this one! Basically for those who have not played it, it is rhythmic game where you control an army of soldiers, and the only way to command them is by doing a string of commands to the tempo of the earth. Commands can be like attack, walk, charge, etc (you use the four buttons, X, circle, triangle, and square) and you do this in a four beat string. Once you do a few perfect commands in a row, your army goes crazy and unleashes its full potential. This series has 3 games, all of which are exclusive to the PSP. All time favorite games for the PSP, and is a must have if you own one. This is like the Pokemon for Sony on the PSP.
    9. Star Wars Battlefront. Battlefront is fun for the maps, and 2 is fun for the classes and new mechanics (except the elite weapons, God those things are stupid). This was my first warish (R and C is not really war) game. The gameplay of it is fantastic. Awesome game. Hopefully Dice does not change the series too much, as not many people would like that. Easiest way for them to screw it up, make it primarily FPS and not TPS. You can't play Battlefront in FPS!
    10. Assassin's Creed. Being introduced to these games only a while ago (started with 3), I really enjoy them. The story and the stealth scenes are fantastic.
    11. The main Pokemon games. My favorite would have to be White. Now before you disagree with my opinion, I only own Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. My Emerald broke pretty early on, and I rented HG/SS for a week, but never bought it. Really wish I could get Black 2 so I can continue the story...

EDIT: So ya, I forgot to add the Patapon series. I placed it at number eight. I will keep Pokemon on the list, as there is no point in removing it.

Oh my goodness, I cannot stress how amazing this game was. The gameplay was really fun, but the story-line... was amazing. I cried...a lot... I am a big sprite fan, so the graphics really appeal to me in that aspect. I also love how this game is not a stressful game. It's like live action chess. Strategic, but not too slow that it's boring. I would play it again any day.

A game out of my youth when I actually had time to play for hours and hours... and hours. OH MY GOODNESS this game was difficult! Which didn't really matter to me, because I had the time to master each level back then. It was charming, adventurous, and really, REALLY, fun. It was worth every second I played it. (I also beat the game 100% just like Jora, but I didn't have video games at 3 so I beat it when I was a few years older than him when he beat it.)
    2. Super Smash Bros Brawl
