Idea Backpacks are cool

This isn't attack of the b-team though. I don't know how that could be implemented..

 

They could make a plugin that when you open the backpack, it would open something like a chest.

 

I think its a good idea, but would use tokens for each backpack space

Anyways, I recall mcpvp's coders made a backpack plugin, so this is completely possible to make. Although it might be a tiny bit OP, it could be balanced with tokens, as Azn said.

 

It could be a possible thing to be implemented when tokens are created.
I do not have anything against it.

 

As an added penalty, a backpack filled 2/3s of the way could give you a permanent slowness effect until you remove the items.
In addition, only 1 backpack should be able to be carried at a time.

 

A Server called Gontroller has a custom backpack plugin that when you do /bp it opens a row of slots you can use tokens to get more slots 6 slots max

 

However, this may be a problem I was on a server with a backpack plugin (was similar to warz) and the admins/mods could not look into the backpack to look for glitched or crafted items.

 

Or you can hold more then one but if you open a different one it will still have the same stuff for you

 

Modify /chest , really easy I've done something like it for my old server

 

this defeats the purpose of ender chests

What if the backpack was an item you could find in a chest (re textured of course). When you right click it, a 1x9 inventory will pop up (allocating 9 extra slots). There you could store 9 extra items, however; when you die, you drop your bookbag and all of its items.

Only problem I can imagine is if a player throws his bookbag out when it contains items. Maybe it throws all the backpack items with it?
