    The idea of the Riot Shield is to block bullets and also do a reasonable amount of damage

    Item:Gold Sword (Note: This will have to replace the crowbar but there was no difference between the crowbar and the wood sword

    How does it work: When you hold down right click with the riot shield it blocks bullets
    You can also use it as a up close weapon

    Durability: It can take
    8 sniper bullets
    50 LMG bullets (Including Minigun)
    25 Automatic bullets
    25 SMG bullets
    15 shot gun bullets
    12 pistol bullets

    Note: It can't deflect special weapons like RPG and flame thrower

    The golden sword should stay because it is a sword.
    When holding the riot shield item the player should have a slight slowness effect. Lugging those things around is taxing.
    They could make the item an iron bar or an iron door. Simply holding the item out will negate damage taken, more so than blocking with a sword. Or make it negate all damage from the front leaving the sides, bottom, back, and top of the player open to take damage. It could also do slightly more damage than just punching with some knockback.

    you don't have to constantly hold down right click while you have a sword in your hand
    Plus this would be to OP just spiriting defecting all bullets

    I may not understand what you mean, but you said yourself, "When you hold down right click with the riot shield it blocks bullets."

    I mention the player would have a slowness effect, to negate this possibility.

    First of all, one of the durability values are confusing. For the shotgun value, do you mean 15 bursts from the shotgun or 15 bullets total (including all the bullets from one burst)?

    Second, the riot shield should be able to withstand more force from the pistols. A sniper can withstand 8 bullets, so why can the riot shield only hold up against 12 pistol shots if a sniper shot delivers much more momentum than a pistol?

    I don't think it should block the flamethrower, seeing as its not really a bullet. And second of all, if they will implement this I hope that you can still strafe the person and shoot from another side and do damage, if not you can just stand in one spot and AFK.
