It's a possibility. How many famous franchise has Valve bought since the beginning of the time?

    DotA
    CS
    TF

But keep in mind, they bought the rights to the game and made SEQUELS. This being said, minecraft would probably receive a final major update (CS 1.6 as an example), and then Minecraft 2 or something along those lines would come out.

If you can see minecraft as a sequel which is better then the one we have right now and that will last a LONG time (TF2, been out how long and is still going strong), hell yeah that would be a fantastic deal. But if you can not and think minecraft is minecraft (no second game), do not consider it then. Valve buys games, and adds there little spin to it. However, with a game as big as minecraft, I can see it split like CS 1.6 and CS GO.

    Minecraft 2?
    Hell no.
The game should stay as it is, with the constant updates.

Then that is why it is a bad idea for Valve to own it, even for how well they make games.

Again, everyone should give Microsoft a chance. They screw it up, completely understand why people would abandon it. It is stupid however to abandon a product because of a new owner. This has been a HUGE year for game deals. We started off with FaceBook buying Oculus (kinda concerned on how Oculus will turn out, still have no lost faith in what it can do), then with Amazon acquiring Twitch. Did you guys lose faith in Twitch? For all people knew at the time, Amazon could have scrapped Twitch as a video game streaming service to a streaming service, and move it to like cooking streams or house decorating streams, and other random crap none of the original Twitch viewers gave a crap for. But guess what? Twitch is still Twitch.
Give microsoft. Would not it be insane if MS actually did a better job then Mojang? What if. We will see if this will happen, more or less.

    ez fix to this
Add micro transactions which I for one would hate to see. If that's what Microsoft is planning, I don't wan't to be a part of it.

But hey, Microsoft can't do all bad right?
