I think the map reset is a great idea Everyone will be qual for a little while. Also old members will most likely come back for 1.8 a fresh start for pvp.mcbrawl.com

Yes but you need to keep in mind that people will be upset if they have all of the items they worked long and hard to get stripped of them.

 

yea true indeed if they want to add enderchest they can but i think that takes away from pvpmcbrawl a little

 

Right... If they put an ender chest at spawn, people are going to buy alternate accounts and put all if there stuff away until 1.8 so they will still be as rich as they were making it boring for the people who wanted the update, to be honest I was thinking of doing this but I want a fresh start ... I am a very rich person on McBrawl, to be honest I wouldn't mind starting again. You either woos out and go quit like a quitter or start again! I am all for this update and can't wait.

PvP server has been boring lately, there is no challenge... Teams like BA55, SuB, Riot just knock other teams out... There is no competition. This update is only going to make the server more fun, there will be new enemies and new teams. So you can either stay, stand your teams ground. Or go and rot in PvP survivals 1.7.* map!

I agree with ritzy very much a fresh start sounds very interesting and challenging which will be good and fun. There will be more competition with other teams some fun rivalry it will be a great thing for mcbrawlpvp in my opinion.

 

What you say is true but if this carries out we won't have any new updates. Would it work if you were allowed to say bring an enderchest and keep your gold?

 

I don't think that there will ever be an end to this argument, yes everyone will get a fresh start and it will be fair and yes it would be unfair for everyone else to lose their stuff. You can't make everyone happy so I honestly have no idea what should be done.

 

The thing is: no matter what happens some people will be upset. If we update the server to 1.8 then a lot more features and possibilities are created. The downside is everyone loosing their stuff.

Look, I don't mind that much for losing my stuff. But my point is that the reset is mainly to give people a chance when all they are doing is sitting in spawn and waiting for prot 4 to fall from the sky. It's just that our hard work was for nothing.

 

Exactly, I don't think this will be solved in a way that benefits both sides :L

 

Does anyone know the possible planned date for when the reset will happen? Even a months time span. Knowing that the server could reset in a few weeks/months, it feels pointless progressing. It'd would be great to know about asap so people would know when to go progressively start going completely crazy with stuff at spawn, tossing it in every direction and going on a rampage (in a good way).

 

Bukkit needs to be updated to 1.8 first and we don't know when that update will happen.

I'm just gonna throw this out there but I would love a new team truce system next patch. I mean something as simple as no friendly fire between truces teams would be nice because in those fights with multiple teams you end up hitting your allies. Plus this would kinda help betrayal because you would see in chat that a team unfriended you and you would have a second or two response to at least turn towards the betrayer...just sayin

 

I agree i don't mind and i don't really care. Yes, i worked so heard to get on the level i am at right now but most people DO sit at spawn waiting to get op that way or when some people go to get wood, exc. and travel 512 blocks or more they find the place bombarded. that really isnt a pretty sight, on my opinion.but with this map reset it puts more ores in the world and better places to find a spot to settle down in and call home.

 

I'm all for a map reset. I just want some stuff to keep, maybe a 5 slot enderchest will satisfy me.

 

i see your understanding but like ritzy said people would just buy alts, put what they have in the alts enderchest, and keep everything they have. to me that is not fair, but i really do want to keep my gold ( note: everything in the shop resets) i am fine with that as long as i have money to buy things when people sell things i will be happy
