I actually forgot to tell you -
Congrats on that first minigun nuke.
Ignore the hate, you did well. You should be able to play however you want, and considering this is your first minigun nuke that's nice.
Try a nuke with one of the SMGs next ^_^

 

The SMGs are basically miniguns, just slightly weaker, more accurate, and with a reload.
Use them like a minigun except more conservatively; you'll enjoy them.

 

I really like how people try to stay nice on this thread. Good job!

Let me explain to you, why the mini is OP (compared to over guns):

• No reload time
• Really high firerate
• High damage per bullet in relation to firerate
• Bullet knockback
• Bullet spread

Does any other gun has the same stats? No.
The amount of skill required to nuke with the Mini, isn't nearly as high as with a skull crusher (without camping).
And yes, you are totally right that it's pretty easy to nuke with every weapon with scav, but this is because you are a really good player and shows that you have skill.

First he nuked. Second thing he helps to keep the server alive by donating. And if some one nukes whit the isolator he would be called a "iso noob". It's never good...

 

What makes it fine to me is that he didn't use aimbot or regen or stuff like that. In theory, anyone can get the minigun and nuke with it, same with the other weapons. Practically, yes, many people will not get the minigun, but everyone has the option. he used a fair weapon and used fair means, no hacks such as your example, to get that nuke. That makes it fine. Aimbot and regen are not fair means, so no, that would not be fine. I would also point out, again, minigun, raygun, all these so called "OP guns" all need something even more OP. Scav. So if you REEEEALY want to get into what is OP, start with scav, because without scav, the only OP weapons are SRs and moddel (maybe skully if you use it like a sniper rifle). . .just saying. . .

And also I know that this is a totally legit nuke. He didn't use any hacks at all.

I am comparing it to hacks, because hacks give you an advantage that is not included or a feature of the game. Theoraticaly everyone could get and use them, and you are totally right about that "theoraticaly" everyone could get a Minigun, but there a lot of reasons that people can't/won't buy it. In the current state the Minigun is a not balanced weapon and giving the user an advantage (like hacked-clients do, see my post about the mini-stats). Due to the fact that the majoratiy of the mc-war players don't have it, having the minigun is an unfair advantage (and is also violating the EULA like hell, but that will be solved soon). After a rebalance of the guns/perks (probably reducing the damage of the mini) it could turn out that the Minigun is not really powerfull, but just fun to play with! And if you get a nuke after such an update, you won't get hate anymore and probably a lot of respect.

The scavanger perks is a different topic, but I still agree that it's pretty "OP". Maybe just make it, that you need to pick up the amo from the enemies? This would balance some of the "OP" guns a bit. No more spawn-camping

Nice rant, but....
Last time I checked this wasn't a place to discuss the overwhelming power of the minigun or scavenger, this was a thread of a first minigun nuke. Just be a good person and congratulate him. You can rant about how the minigun takes little to no skill if he repeatedly posts nukes with minigun.

 

I actually wrote this in a calm way. I tried to explain some things, bring up some arguments and be as nice as possible.
I already "rant" about how unbalanced the donor guns are, but it got ignored by a part of the community.
And last time I check this forum is called "MC-War Discussion" and so I tried to bring up a discussion about how unbalanced the minigun is and that it's actually not an "amazing" achievement. Such achievement-threads should be in Off-topic, but it's still nice to see them, so they should stay here, but should include some type of discussion and not some pointless good-rating-farming.

 

These days no matter what gun you use, you are called a noob :/
