Flamethrower Tactics

I usually set them on fire and then finish them off with my pistol. Works pretty good most of the time

 

Step 1 - Play CTF
Step 2 - Use flame and scav
Step 3 - Rush the flag
Step 4 - Eat some Doritos while waiting to respawn because the server is lagging
Step 5 - Look at the world burnin'

 

I use it like a SMG that sets crap on fire and has basically no reload.

 

If you're behind a corner, wait for someone to come around, then spam Flamethrower at them. At that close of a range, Flamethrower will do massive damage.

 

Flamethrower can blind them easy. If they have particles on max, your spamming their screen with tiny red dots. Hope full this will shock them into a distracted state. This will give you time to either finish them with the flamethrower, or finish them. With another gun. Although I think the flamethrower isn't a 1v1 weapon. I often use it for attacking large grouped crowds. The fire will continue to kill them from as soon as you set them on fire. All you need to do to eventually kill them all is to re-apply the fire when it runs out. This is also a way to conserve ammo.
You can also use molotovs to set them on fire or re-apply the flame.

As Serine said, surprising flames can stun enemies for a small while, enough to finish them off.

Just spam into a crowd or spawn, they rage so much.

 

In my opinion I think the flamethrower is useful if you want to blind your enemies while damaging them then finish then off with your pistol easly.

I'm a flamethrower pro.
What you do is you find a spot where people like to go, whether to snipe, pass through or whatever. Stand there, and get molotovs. Use molotovs to scare people, and when they rush, finish them with flamethrower.

I am not a flametroller by any means and found everyone's strategy helpful.

I would think it could be map dependent. Perhaps best used where everyone is bunched up like in "Erosion."

Typically I take these players out first. I might give this weapon a chance in the near future.

Bonus strategy if you're an ass
1. Get super armor
2. Get MVP
3. Equip flashbangs
4. Equip grenades
5. Equip scavenger
6. Wait for small map
7. Break through to enemy spawn
8. Stand on their spawn, setting stuff on fire
9. Toss grenades and flashbangs randomly
10. Hide by the newly spawned players, make sure there are no grenades that can kill you
11. Let the kills and rage roll in

 

The definition of most 100+s (and high lvl 90s). ^^

 

Tactics. Burn Burn have 6 year old ragequit.

 

Simple.
Just fire into a large crowed, and prefiring helps
