I think someone who is experienced in Trickshotting should make a trickshot guide.
I want to get into trickshotting, but I have no idea how to.
    I've only hit 2 that I've recorded

However, I find it hard to get myself into spots, etc.
perhaps a guide outlining how to trickshot and good placed on maps (not all, just the best)
    Anyone up for the challenge?

I have no idea how to trick shot, I usually just spin, derp and die horribly.

The trickshots in those videos are better than anything I could ever do. Personally I think your doing fine.
If you want to take it to the next level, try jumping off sponges and doing trickshots from there.
Or use the upside down effect under 'secret settings'.

I don't think there's really a way to make an effective trickshot guide since trickshots depend on luck and random chance. Good luck to anyone who makes a trickshot guide though. ^^

The "secret" to tricks hotting is 70% percent luck, 20% perfect timing, and 10% team skill
If you can get to a high place with several enemies and time your shot so that your shooting when looking either 45 degrees to the left of 45 degrees to the left of your enemy as this is usually about how far a non-scoped sniper bullet will travel out of the chamber. Always be aware of your team and how easily they can prevent your death should you fail

A good trickshoter reduces the amount of luck he needs to hit a shot to about 10%. Everything else is timing and creativity.

    Now about the trickshot guide:
What you did, weren't "real" trickshots like you see them in other FPS games, but it's a start and is realy good for practicing the right timing. The are far more easy to hit because they are on the same level as you are. The challenge with the real trickshoting is that:
    • You are on a different level when your enemy.
    • You are totaly vulnurable, because you won't shoot back immidiatly when you see them.
    • There is a random bullet spread.
    • You get knocked back by bullets (snowballs).
    • You can get fall damage (currently bugged in mc-war, no fall damage at all)
    • You are an easy target on a high spot
As you can see there are a lot of these aspects that you need to thing about first before even "shooting and spinning".
I don't have the time right now to explain everything, but I would like to make a full trickshot guide in the future, so I am going to explain it here briefly.

A trickshot is made of different components and is rated by how much skill is needed to hit a shot like this and how good it looks. Remember that these are all based on personal opinions and views.
A simple jump from a roof with a quickscope is actually a trickshot, but it's not as good as an 360-quickscope which is not better than a 1080 - blockhit - weapon swap. As you can see trickshoting is all about hitting a better shot then everyone else or atleast a "complex" shot. And to be able to hit complex shots, you need to start with easy ones.
I always recommend to start with easy blockpunch-360/720 to get used to switching your equipment around right away.
    Here are some tips:
    • Start really simple to practice your timing
    • Always play on the same sensitivity (I am using defaul 100%)
    • Use a normal FoV of 70-90 (everything else looks bad when spinning)
    • Look for small hills on maps that are easy and fast to climb up for practicing
    • Don't go for suicide shots or really hard shots.
    • Don't shoot at your target, jump around so he can't hit you
    • Always kill people with miniguns normaly (they will always mess up your shot)
And the most important one: DON'T FOGET TO RECORD.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them.

Ohh, here are some good maps for trickshoting:
    - Freight (High Wood house with ladder)
    - Carrier (Heli Start Pad)
    - Takeoff (Everywhere)
    - Favela (Everywhere, EPIC)
    - Cargo (Everywhere)

Well I think trickshotting is a matter of skill and knowledge. I don't think you can learning about it unless you do it your way first.

    not necessarily true
this is just a matter of opinion. But thinking about it, a no scope trickshot (which is what I was describing) is luck based and you cant deny that
If your doing a quickscope then thats another story, that takes almost no luck and is mainly skill based. If thats what you were talking about then that makes more sense

    Awesome!
I don't usually worry about sensitivity, I play with about 170% , and since I bought a nice mouse I can manually change the sensitivity without going into any menus[IMG] (my mouse, middle buttons change sensitivity so I just set it to high when I am trickshotting)
    I'll take your advice, thanks!

Ok, I followed some of your advice. I got a 360 quickscope on takeoff, not sure if it's good or bad though. Not a very high altitude, so I'm unsure if it is 'good' or 'bad'.
    Shot is at 00:25

I never do scoped trickshots, they just look bad when you spin. And i figured out that the no scope accurance is not as bad as you think it is, for me it's like 1/5 shots goes in a direct line.

Yeah, that's a nice start! :grinning:
Now add a small little extra to this and practice a bit not to look at your target all the time and it's going to be awesome

I've been using nothing but snipers for almost a year and a half now. I can tell you that the range of the non-scoped sniper is crazy. Lucky you if it shoots in a straight line, but most of the time it goes flying out in some random angle. Im just speaking from experience here and you're speaking from your experience. So lets just agree that we both know what we're talking about hmm?

Alright, here is how it goes!

    1. Shift, shift, shift.
    2. Punch, punch, punch.
    3. Spin FOUR times.
    5. Jump twice.
    6. BOOM BOOM BANG BANG

In all seriousness though, I would love a guide as well. ❤
