1.8 Update
We have nearly made it out of the painful wrath of the latest Minecraft update. While we are allowing 1.8 clients to connect to our network we still suggest that you use a 1.7.x version of Minecraft. If you need assistance in doing so please visit this thread.

Nearly all gun issues have been resolved. We are only trying to resolve the minor knockback issues that still exists, it’s currently a tad too much.

KitBrawl
KitBrawl will be staying offline until further notice. We felt that it would be best just to keep the server offline instead of putting time into it when most players that played just cheated. Sorry if you were a legitimate player who enjoyed the server.

Video of the Week
As you should know, video of the week is back! Every week a video is selected to be featured on the sidebar of the forums. At the end of the month the community may vote on the three to four videos selected that month for a final winner to be selected. The video of the month winner will be featured in the Brawl News and will receive a $10 coupon for the store. If you are interested in submitting a video just post it in the Media > Videos section.

MineStrike
MineStrike is back online and lookin’ pretty. Last Friday MineStrike received an update that contained visual changes, a new gamemode, and some other small fixes. Feel free to check out the changelog here or hop on and try it out.

Leaderboards
This month we implemented the one of the most requested site features, leaderboards! Currently we have leaderboards setup for WarZ, Party, fpsHG, and Survival. We plan slowly expand the amount of statistics we track, but currently we just log main aspects of each server. Remember to use the search bar in the top right of the stats page to search for a specific player. Check out the leaderboards here: https://www.brawl.com/stats/.

We are expecting to get War stats added this weekend.

Negative Ratings
Around 135 of you helped us decide what to do with the controversial negative ratings. We posted a thread with possible options and the winning vote was to fully remove negative ratings (dislike and pointless) from the rating system. So, that’s exactly what we did. You will no longer be able to rate a post with a negative rating. We are pleased with how this is going so far and plan to never have any sort of negative rating.

Trophies
Chickenputty went on a trophy rampage a few days ago. The forums saw the addition of nearly triple the old amount of trophies. You can view all the trophies by clicking on “Help” at the bottom of the page or by clicking here. We hope these trophy additions give you something to work for while you are on the forums. Please remember to take it slow and not to spam posts or threads.

Shoutbox
The shoutbox (aka chat) also received some small improvements. You should notice a vast speed increase when viewing other’s messages along with some new features. If you are viewing the full chat page you will notice that the top title bar flashes when there is a new message and you can select your chat color with some other BB code features.

Other Website Changes

• Posts in Intros & Outros and Creative Rank Applications no longer count towards your overall posts. This was done to prevent any kind of possible post count “farming”. However, we still hope that everyone will greet newcomers to the forums.
• The rating system was disabled in the Creative Rank Application section. There is no need to rate posts in that section, so we just decided on disabling it.

New War Texturepack
War received a much-needed texturepack upgrade on Friday. The server now uses 32x32 pixel textures similar to the WarZ and fpsHG packs. If you are not a fan of the pack, don’t worry! The old texturepack is still available for download here. All of the textures were made by @griffy718.

Noob Censored
The administrators decided to censor the word noob and common variations of it. This was mainly done as a test to see everyone’s opinions, so there is no guarantee if it is staying or going. What is your opinion on the matter?

Video of the Month
Drum roll for this month’s video of the month winner! It was a very close poll between Lord_Roke and Skulduggery57’s video, but Lord_Roke ended up taking the win by just one vote!
