Beginning on October 10th we will be enforcing a new ban protocol. Currently when we ban a player, only the player that is cheating receives a ban. However, after this new protocol is in effect, any players that are obviously teaming with the hacker, at that given moment, will be receiving a three day ban.

If you were aware that one of your teammates or friends were cheating we expect you to report them. This will prevent you from receiving the ban. But, don’t try to abuse the system because if we notice this is happening too frequently, you will still receive a ban even if you report them.

If you are still confused check out this walkthrough:

This rule also applies to players who are playing with banned players who are alting.

Good thing I'm a solo player. I don't have to worry about hacking teammates. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have mixed feeling for this. I think its a great idea. But the mods have to be careful. They need to make sure the other player is fully aware that their teammate is hacking. Because this could lead to a bad situation where the player might not know that their friend is hacking, and get a ban on their record anyways. Other than that, I think it's a great idea.

Of course. I gave him permission to, strictly for the video.

I will be going easy on the bans.

As @candyfloss326 previously mentioned, what if you were unaware? For example, lets take teaming with randoms on FPSHG. If I'm understanding this correctly, if, by chance, someone on your team is hacking, and you aren't aware, you could potentially be banned through association. What precautions and safeties are the staff taking to ensure that this doesn't happen?

Love this addition so much Gigga!

Some people might just hack to get there teammates banned, so it has to be somewhat balanced.

In my own humble opinion, you should've mentioned that in the original post. >_>
Anyway, that still doesn't satisfy my previous question: what steps will be taken to ensure that one doesn't get banned, if they had no idea their teammate was hacking?

If a staff member is clearly teaming with a hacker, will they be demoted?

I like the idea of this though :V

I am guessing if the teammates see the person blink in and follow right in behind them, but if they don't follow in behind them it wouldn't count as a ban. I am guessing teams in PvP Survival and Fps-HG could get banned for this reason too.

Make a convincing enough appeal at make sure it doesn't happen again.

Sounds like a pretty good idea, and my only thoughts have already been said above. Just hoping that the staff are careful xD

This ban protocol mainly applies for WarZ or can it be used trough out all servers?
I understand how it would be applied with FpsHg but not really Mc-War because the teams are huge.

This new protocol I think is a big step in the way Brawl works. The amount of times on WarZ I have been playing and seen people playing with hackers is quite extraordinary. This works very well indeed. I also agree that the people teaming with the hacker shouldn't be banned permanently, as hopefully they will learn their lesson after the first time.
