Whenever I get on TS, I usually see tons of mods in the Mod+ channels, or a private channel. It is annoying, as you can not ask them questions on TS openly. Therefore they should spread out on TS, as it is their job to be helpful in all areas. You may be saying "PM them" but no, I feel like we should be able to be more open with mods instead of talking through chat. It would also help mods, instead of sending them a pm in chat while their playing. Thanks.

Preachhhh, I agree with this sooo much. When I was mod i tried to be in a public channel. What also annoys me is that some staff just stay in afk the whole day, like do something please.

I've seen this happen before, it's completely true. As a new trial mod, I'm trying to avoid this as much as possible, for example, I was in the mc-war public channel for 2 hours yesterday instead of another private channel like say, mod+. If I see this happen in the future, I will definitely try to encourage them to switch around. But, keep in mind that it's ok if we go in the same channel every so often, because you know, this thing called "fun". It's ok to be in the same channel as other mods at certain instances, but not 100% of the time

Usually, asking a mod to join your channel will (hopefully) get them to join your channel. It is quite true that we group up in private channels. Mod+ has seemingly had a large decrease of inhabitants there.
Sometimes public channels are somewhat empty. When one channel has a rather large amount of people there, you can be sure to see at least one mod there. Usually we hang with the people we enjoy talking to, which are often mods or ex-mods. Since that is something, we often just hide ourselves in some private place.
And I must admit, it sucks.

As rainy said, just ask any of the staff most of them are available and will join your channel if you got any questions.

Yes, we can ask them/pm them, but what if someone like LuckyPop is recording a video, and then you message him, resulting in him either dying or screwing up his clip.

Who cares if it screws up his clip? He did the right thing by doing his job.

As a moderator, helping people comes first.
According to administration, moderators should go out of their way to help others, and be willing to lose a killstreak on War or die on WarZ to do their job.

Preach it far and wide. Could not agree more on that mods needs to spread out. I find it pretty crappy how TS activity seems to count for being in a locked private channel with your friends. Now I might not go on TS much, but I do often check the Viewer, and I can safely say there are a few mods that seem to never go in public channels, even when there is a large group of unmoderated people in say room 1 of WarZ.
I can understand talking with your friends on TS. Every so often is fine. If you moderated TS for say 6 hours, then I see no problem in relaxing for some time. Now talking with your friends every time on your on results in a huge problem.

I totally agree with this, it just may result in them getting angry or not actually replying, forgetting about it totally.

You can easily message any of our moderators and they should help you out with your problem relatively quickly, if the moderator doesn't respond just copy and paste the message to another moderator and so on. If none of the moderators respond and help you out to their full extent, then we have an issue.

You can message me anytime i'm not on away status and usually get a response in under a minute. I make sure that if i'm away from my computer I set myself to away status "[1 sec].'

I do know that a lot of our moderators do AFK in public/private channels and if they are not set on away status they should move to at least AFK so other players know not to contact them.

As @rainywolvess stated above if there is a large amount of people starting to form in a public channel, a moderator usually hops into it checks to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Again if you have any issues in our teamspeak please contact a moderator starting with the mods connected to teamspeak and then on the forums if none of them are located on our teamspeak.

If you read the post you should know the option of messaging a moderator is great, not not all the time. I feel like I am way too confined to the space of text, and this could be done easily if he was in a public channel playing WarZ with his friends, but still being able to communicate with you via voice and help you.

When you play with a team it is very crucial to keep those plans hidden from the enemy.

They may not be playing on the same server and may playing on another one the 1-10 servers. Also, chances are they are not in the same place as you.

Yeah it's ridiculous how mods just stay in private channels or in the mod + group

I said this on a similar thread before:

Yes, its true that Moderators are mostly in private channels (Atleast from my Timezones Perspective).
But have you ever checked how many users are in private channels and how many in public channels?

I'm looking at Teamspeak right now and there are ONLY muted users in the Server Channels and 2 Users - @buddycrack and @YepImRobbie - in the League of Legends Channel. No one else in the public channels, but 13 active users in 9 private channels. So the most stuff is going on in private channels anyways, why should I stay in a public channel lonely if I could also join the channel of my friend?

IF there are multiple users in public channels AND no moderator in it yet, a staff member should definitely join it, but I don't see that too much.

Actually I already join the public channel of the server I'm currently playing often even if there is nobody in it and just stay in there while playing.

As stated above you can also PM a Moderator if there is a channel they should join.

I'm going in with Roke here, since that Summer Vacation/Spring Break ended for the most people, there's like almost no time for people anymore to even get on teamspeak and/or inGame. The amount of people we have on TeamSpeak now, is around 20-30 people a day, in the night(my time) there's around 50+ people. Sometimes, as us mods, we need our free time to. To speak to old members/friends/etc. Sometimes we even have an own channel , just to relax for a bit.

So yeah, if there's a "fight" going on and one of the Mods/Supermods or even Admins are on, just message them. And they'll try to come in to the channel as fast as possible and fix the current problem.

Already did a thread on this, but you have my support. I hate this thing so much. To be honest, I hate private channels.

Yes, but it is way too much. When there are people in a public channel, no mods go there. This is because they stay in their private channel.
